Sunday morning photos. The Mediterranean house gecko is one of a large colony that has lived under my house for at least 25 years.
Early morning is a perfect time to appreciate natural beauty. Wishing all my friends a pleasant and peaceful Sunday. 🌺🌻🌷🌼
Photos from the garden on a rainy day. I hope they make you smile. 🌸🌼🌷😊💙
My sweet Murphy is super cute, his tongue is out and it’s Tuesday sooo…….
Zelda spent her first 7(?) months of life in a puppy mill. We were lucky enough to rescue her. She still has food issues after 3 years with us. She’s a very tall counter surfer. She snagged a rattlesnake egg (cream cheese bacon wrapped jalapeño). She was drooling and chomping. It was funny-later.
Look at this guy. My son and I took my sister to some hiking trails this morning. We met this guy on the trail. Copperheads are beautiful but dangerous.
This is a strange accidental capture. I was taking a photo of the bird thief and didn’t notice the dove until later.
Bailey is celebrating today, apparently! She is in the city with her Pops this weekend. I hope he didn’t give her the whole 1/2 gallon of ice cream.
This one did it for me. The book and then the movie. I read about 100 novels every year. This one is memorable for all the right reasons.
I’m a fifth generation Texan, atheist, realist and lifelong dem. Texas has a long bloody history. I’ve wanted to move to a blue state for years but my family is here. I try to focus on the things I still love about Texas every day, especially now.
Who decided these flowers are just pesky wildflowers? They are nature’s art and they attract bees and butterflies. They are so lovely. These are all Texas natives.
My husband couldn’t be home last weekend for Father’s Day so I made him a Black Forest cake. I ran out of good gift ideas and he’s not my dad so…. It looks a little sloppy but the ingredients are top shelf. 😋
Zelda is showing off her brand new custom collar (necklace). My son used one of my old thrift store belts to make her a collar. We added some new bling and a whistle along with her ID. I hate the fall apart collars sold for large breeds.
Thank you to everyone who has followed me. I will follow you back. Here’s some blooms to make you smile. Wishing you all a nice evening.
I’ve used all my supply of swear words today. So here’s a bloom to wish all resisters a peaceful evening. 💪🇺🇦🏳️🌈🇨🇦💙💪🐾🐦⬛
Every single year in Texas children, adults and the elderly are victims of extreme heat. Healthy adults are also at risk. Please be mindful and look out for those that need a little help. If you can, provide water for those without opposable thumbs. It’s easy and it can literally save lives.
Happy pride month to all who celebrate! 🏳️🌈 In all the chaos let nature give you a few moments of peace and tranquility. Be strong, be safe and have a nice day. 🇺🇦🇨🇦🐾🐦⬛
Good Morning to all American Resisters! Wishing you a day of hope! 🇺🇦🏳️🌈🇨🇦🐾🐦⬛
I made Filipino lumpia, pancit and two dipping sauces today, all from scratch. I fried the lumpia in tallow. It was magical. Stress cooking really pays off when you focus.
Our little juvenile white wing dove proved to us he was ready to be a free bird yesterday. He was flying the full length of the greenhouse so we wished him the best and released him.
We’ve had a guest in our greenhouse for 12 days. Lil’ fluff ball is a fledgling with an injured wing. We have parrots and feed wild birds so we set her up in the greenhouse to regain her wings. Not quite ready to evade predators but soon. Yes, it is illegal! She’s a guest not a pet! Dare me!
A project I’m working on for my Niece. Taking more spare moments than I have but I think she’ll like it.
Our English cream golden retriever, Reedus loves gardening almost as much as he loves his tennis balls. This garden is his absolute favorite. Yes, he is flattening several clumps of rose moss.
The wild bird feeding station is EMPTY-OH NO!!! They can’t believe it! Feeders are rarely empty but we’ve had a week of rain.
Good morning! This little spotless ladybug made me smile yesterday. Wishing everyone a peaceful day.
Hey Dorothy, wishing you a smooth procedure and a quick recovery. 🐾💙🐾
WTH was I thinking? This project was just a simple project for my niece, just a thoughtful handmade gift. Two weeks in and so many more stitches. Nervous energy. At least I’m channeling it in a positive direction.
Noodle is our special needs kitty. She was a feral kitten with birth defects. A vet amputated one of her legs to save her life, then she was brought to us because of other medical and neurological issues. She’s taking meds for a UTI. She’s playing with new Get Well gifts to cheer her up.
