Throughout our lives, we often find ourselves mixing into new social circles as our interests or needs evolve. Often, we have to choose whether to break or maintain ties as the social net begins to cast too wide before it becomes untenable. But we always wind up having “constants” - the kinds of connections that are always there, regardless of where we find ourselves months or years down the road.

Crescent was a constant for 20 years. Always finding each other again at random points but at the right times in our lives. Immediately resuming where we left off, even if the thread would only last a couple of messages. He would always be genuinely himself in every interaction, carrying the kindness way back from the ye olde Yoshi fandom days. While life got in the way of keeping up with him in recent years, getting an insight into the community he has built through his streaming has been fantastic. New connections - and constants - for another generation.

There are few people like Crescent we get to meet in our lives, and he will be sorely missed. My condolences to his family - offline and online.

Fuck cancer.

Been playing a whole bunch of The Witness w/ randomiser recently and decided to bump up to expert yeah

A welcome dialog from the randomiser application for The Witness. The text reads:

Hi there! Thanks for trying out Expert Mode. it will be tough, but I hope you have fun!

Expert has some unique tricks up its sleeve. You will encounter some situations that seem impossible at first glance (even in tutorial)! In these situations, try to think of alternative approaches that weren't required in the base game.

For especially tough puzzles, the Solver folder has a solver that works for most puzzles, though it occasionally fails to find a solution.

The Github wiki also has a Hints page that can help with certain tricky puzzles.
