South City. He/him. Formerly biogeochemistry/microbial bioinformatics; now software and bikes/urbanism/random plants.
Here's a streambed simulator I threw together in Claude to play around with (couldn't get the formulation quite right) and it has the same dark mode feel with monospace font, a single accent color, rounded boxes with not-full width dividers, etc.
I've read way too many books about water in California to be able to just enjoy this random park (built by the Resnicks) where we stopped for lunch on the way back from Disneyland.
It's extremely cursed. 😂 That one looks like it failed plan reviews several times even though the checkers were turning around within the due dates. It would be nice if the city tracked the architects because I wonder how many people here are rolling their own plans.
First harvest from our tea bush. I picked one leaf, no bud and steamed them. Very mellow, slightly grassy, but definitely tastes like tea.
Stopped by the Tanforan Barnes & Noble before it shuts down and it was pretty picked over, but they had a few good books left. Going to miss having a book store on the Northern Peninsula.
I didn't plant these French Breakfast radishes deep enough, but they still tasted good and weren't woody.
LOL, the California Apartment Association sent out flyers thanking @catherinestefani.bsky.social for killing a tenant protection bill.
The map is wrong; there wasn't a spur. There was a trolley that connected to the SF-SM interurban line near where SSF's new library is (Leipsic Junction).
I bought some sheet music off Nextdoor today and the past is such a distant place. What's a talking machine?
Uh, I double-checked because they open-sourced their system prompt after that and it looks like it still has one or two problematic sections.
If the Magnificent 7 have flat headcount in the future, it'll be because they dead-ended on AI (with the obvious analogy to Deep Blue).
Pretty happy with my developing CAD skills that I managed to match (down to the threading that fits) this broken piece of a toy.
I don't know if it's the same ND thread, but I clipped this a few days ago because the sense of entitlement is just wild. "I bought a car that's too big so I can break the law."
That would have been my guess too, but it looks like he only has one donation recorded.
