Finally cool enough to bake a double batch of Ballymaloe brown bread, stuffed with mixed seeds because fibre/good fats/extra crunch. An immensely satisfying endeavour because its the easiest bread in the world to make 💁♀️

Had a craving for a wholesome, fruit & nut oatmeal cookie loosely based on a NYTimes recipe using half the suggested brown sugar (!): Oatmeal, spelt, cranberry, hazelnut and buttermilk cookies (with a good dash of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and mixed spice) Verdict: Rather good, will bake again!👩🍳
