I got about 15 minutes into White Lightning (A film I understood Burt Reynolds to have a starring role in) without recognizing Burt Reynolds. Has there ever been a more enduring bit of personal branding than Burt’s mustache?

James Cameron is upset that people don't appreciate the work that's gone into Avatar's mo-cap performances. I actually think the point he makes here is a fair one, but I think he's missing something about why people devalue mo-cap performances.

Watching The Lodger and there have already been 3 or 4 shots I've never seen in anything else, like this double exposure shot showing the pacing footsteps characters hear as they look up at their celling. I love seeing silent filmmakers figure out different ways to communicate things

One of the fun things about getting back into Lego is discovering the playful uses designers find for specialized pieces (As I kid I thought they’d invented too many special pieces!). The sink faucet in this kitchenette is a silver version of the flintlock pistol seen long ago in Pirate Legos
