let me tell you about my dual inheritance of fear and gregarious curiosity (about half the Japanese books in there are my grandmother’s, studied in one-hour chunks in the 80s in the morning before she started farm chores in southern Iowa)

my two language shelves of books. on top are: swedish, my college japanese textbooks, an assortment of older japanese dictionaries and grammars, my grandmother’s japanese grammar which is covered in blue fabric and is also an older edition on my textbook, more japanese grammar guides I purchased.
on the bottom are an assortment of portuguese books, a guide to Breton, and a few french novels.

THE KING IN THE FOREST is the fourth and final book in the Goblins & Cheese sequence, written under my pen name Juniper Butterworth.
