Cease and desis

On 24 August 2026 cease and desist letters have been sent by X Corp. demanding a permanent takedown of Nitter instances and the project's repository.

nitter.net is offline and development has stopped for the time being. I'm seeking legal advice and won't be commenting further on the specifics for now.

Thank you to everyone who used, hosted, packaged, donated and contributed to Nitter over the past seven years.

My cats want to be hackers too, so they have their own computers now. Thankfully this has a success rate of 30% of stopping them from stepping or sleeping on mine hahah

I setup a #blackwater tank for my betta using Indian Almond Leaves (catappa leaves), and rooibos tea. This is his face enjoying a blood worm the other day. I tend to only feed a few worms at a time and I must admit, my shrimp crave that protein because they become just as bloodthirsty for it as him

Therefore amongst the beautiful green pondered growing in his tank, the water is tinted an amber as there is rooibos tea as tannins leech into the water from Indian almond leaves and the tea itself. On the glass there are tiny baby snails, one Malaysian trumpet snail, one bladder snail.

Note: Tannins are also good for bettas as they provide darker water for them to feel confident in, as well as antibacterial properties.

This is my boy, Pearl the Poised in my 20L (5gal) tank. He is very good at making feel like I am starving him, but fasting once a week is good for betta gut health, as it gives them time to clear it out food and prevent bloat or constipation. I love my hungry boy Pearl 🥰 #aquarium #betta #fish

I got added to a moderation list for “following NSFW accounts” but… I don’t. I follow a few art accounts, but that’s about it. Also wtf why would you make a moderation list because I choose to see adult content like wtf??? Mind your business and stop stalking my followers.

Oh same!! I have two densely planted tanks and I love love love them. They look amazing. My shrimp tank looks fantastic right now. This is an old photo, it’s so overgrown now you can’t even see the driftwood. It’s shrimp heaven!

Hey folks!! Google has decided to automatically opt you in to train off your Gmail data. This allows them to gain access to all your private messages, and attachments to train AI models. To turn it off, it must be done in two places! #AI #Google #HandsOffMyData

Give me a fuckin break @safety.bsky.app You're busting my balls over a legitimate "These people use racial slurs and incite violence" list 🤡 Why not actually moderate your platform, and remove these people so I don't have to make such lists?

There was a small stadium near my house where my friends and I would play small but wonderful matches every day. However, I haven't played football for a long time. Due to the current situation and the destruction of power stations, resulting in a lack of electricity, I haven't been able to watch the matches either. It has become something of the past.
