This year was incredible at @lakesoffire.org . I am particularly proud of both projects I brought - a 5 ft cedar sign, lovingly hand sanded and painted, as well as my glow in the dark Year Zero coins to celebrate our first year at our very own property. Man, that Year Zero was so on point.

I was at mom's until midnight desperately repairing/relocating her wheeled AC because birds were nesting in her actual unit. Upstairs it was over a hundred at 11pm, 96 @ day. It was finally cool enough for her to sleep (and live) on the couch until AC is repaired, and no more condensation bucket.

It's been nice getting back into making french cleated tool holders for my lil workshop. It's great to get more things off the benches while still being in sight. You'd be surprised how many times I've reached for a visible wrench instead of a more useful ratchet in a box. Repurposed materials.

I'm proud of the charging station whose parts I scavenged from an old train table. It still has some toddler stickers on it, for the vibes. The top hinges on dowels for power strip access. I've been thinking about doing this for years, and just made it happen in 2 days. #workshop #garage #diy

Stuttering, stumbling and couldn't get a sentence together in response. Finally told me they'd look into it and pass my message on. When they asked if I had anything else to say to the representative, I said that I would plan one for him and let him know the time and date, and he could decide whether or not to come. Then the gasping really started! They have no idea how to respond! Congress is on recess March 13-21st. This is meant for them to be able to attend to business back home, such as by holding town halls. There's no excuse for your representative to not make an appearance. Call and ask them where they're meeting constituents over March recess!

Bragleenbeg Tower just outside of Oban is also a wonderful place to stay in the Highlands, super private. Loved it this summer. Took a private boat to see the puffins from Oban!
