Sugar is a long-haired grey kitten that I am fostering. She came to foster because her original dad is fighting cancer and can not take care of her. She is a very smart cat. In this picture, she is in the kitchen sink, ready to turn the water on so she can get herself a drink. Yes, there are 2 water bowls, but those are for the plain pets, not special ones like her.

I'm moving my foster along this weekend and getting a little boy who had to have the lower part of one leg amputated.

This longhaired grey kitty is my current foster, Sugar. She's ready for her furever home. She's very social and knows how to side-eye with the best of them. If you're in SE Ohio, this could be a great opportunity

One of our dogs came home with an entire deer leg. The entire leg quarter! He was so happy. Btw it wasn't all that fresh

Boscoe was a mixed breed hound-pit lovey boy. He was white with brown patches and the bark of a coonhound. He died a few years ago, but we remember his goofiness.

After my boy, Jack died, I said, "No more dogs" because it hurt too much. About 3 weeks later, I saw this from the local K-9 Adoption Center. You know the rest. Keep your heart open, and you'll find the perfect fit

I've posted this before, but it's a good reminder that it'll take some time for your pup to relax.

This 3-3-3 rule is so important when adopting a dog. It takes at least 3 days for them to decompress, 3 weeks at least, to learn your routine and 3 months to really settle in.

My dad was on a Pt Boat that was giving cover to the minesweepers on the night before the invasion. At dawn, they went back across the channel. Then, they were sent back across and spent time picking dead bodies out of the channel. He never forgot the cost of war. He hated Trump from the beginning

I'm so sorry for your loss. That sounds trite, but it's true. All of us who lost a beloved companion know that when they go, they take some of our heart with them. This is Jack. I still miss him, but smile when I think of his silly ways.

Jack is a tricolored collie. I know he looks a lot like Scout. Scout came in my life about 3 weeks after Jack died. I said, "No more dogs," but the Universe didn't hear me and send Scout my way. I guess Scout needed me.

When we first got Scout from the shelter, he was a confirmed catchaser. We never considered returning him, but we did work on changing his behavior. It took a year before he settled down, and now he had a kitty friend. Have patience with your shelter pups #dogsofbluesky #adoptdon'tshop

Angelo has found a new home. Here's my next foster kitty, Kori. Kori is extremely shy and afraid. It's hard to find a new home when no one can see you.

Kori is a small female (fixed) grey tabby. She and 19 friends were found in a house after tenants moved out. I'll post more pictures when I get them.

Angelo is a beautiful blue-eyed blonde boy who needs a home. He had to have his right front leg amputated because of a raging infection. He's kind of shy but has aloud purr and loves ear scratches.
