I was born about 5 years after the end of WWII. I had babysitters whose family sent them out of Germany, then their entire family was murdered by fascists. Now we have fascists running our country. Blueskyers are a great team to join.
Recently visited the John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum. The photos and movies of the Kennedys brought back so much emotion. By the way, tell me again how Fat Buoy's wife is the most beautiful, classy first lady EVER.
No wonder Chunky Dolittle wants to be President Kennedy. Fat chance, Chunky!
Lazy summer day viewed from the shade of the porch. Ah, sweet as sugar!
I've never sent a "dick pic" and swore I never would. However, I couldn't resist sending this dick pic. Damn, that's one huge DICK! It's very white. I think I'll call it "Moby the Dick."
I had no luck trying to keep my clamp in the proper position after gluing a corner suuport for a deck table, so I took a "hydration" break with a cold one. Well, a nice Irish fellow gave me a great idea. Cheers to you, Mr. Smithwick!
The current moon phase is Waxing Gibbous, with about 95.4% visibility. The Blue Moon will arrive on May 31.
It rained during almost all of the holiday weekend, but today is crystal clear and warm. The weather gods are mocking us.
Discussing quantum physics, no doubt. We'll never forget: RELEASE THE TRUMP‐EPSTEIN FILES!
WE HAVE EXCEPTIONAL MEMORIES. WE WILL NEVER FORGET DISGUSTING, INHUMANE ATROCITIES PERPETRATED ON CHILDREN.
I've heard about elephant graveyards, but have never seen one. However, I did stumble upon a VW "hippy bus" graveyard while walking in the woods.
The Artemis ll launch brought back memories of watching the first Project Mercury launch, Freedom 7, on May 5, 1961 during a school launch a party. We had sodas and cookies, and nobody could eat lunch. Artemis also made me think of this guy on the t-shirt I got to commemorate Artemis ll. Godspeed!
After 4 days of cold rain had a break in the weather. We finally had the first chance to enjoy our new deck. No too shabby.
William Tecumseh Sherman, who became an important commander for the North during the Civil War, was very perturbed by the secession activity in the South prior to the War. His concerned statement fits today's precarious state to a T.
NOTUS, it does not give me confidence in your .org to see "presented by bp."
Haven't heard Ted Cruz mentioned in the press for months. Where is the esteemed senator these days? Quietly serving his constituents? Jajaja!
Cooking up some chicken marmalade for half-time. I hope this death's head mushroom is not a bad omen for the Pats!
This is the 2nd time in a couple of days I've seen patches of blue light on the snow. It must be refraction, but I don't remember seeing it before, and I've spent a lot of time on the snow x-country skiing. It's not a reflection off of something blue.
Today was a beauty. Sunny and 42 degrees. By tomorrow night we'll drop to 0 degrees, and overnight Sunday we're predicted to get 8-10 inches of snow. I want today to be an early Groundhog Day!
I just saw this email supposedly from Medicare, but I think it might be a spoof by The Onion. STAY HEALTHY WITH WHO???!!!
This is a screen capture of the fellow who has done snow removal for us for the past 2 years. Up until this winter He had 2 Hispanic employees helping him. Now he's laboring alone. The punitive deportation actions of the white supremacist administration are punishing white men! Oh, the irony!
Last summer this fellow had the best seat in the house for this gorgeous sunset over Cape Cod.
I needed a few low-key minutes and happened on "Antiques Roadshow. I've never seen a wood carving this impressive. It's a Walter Mader Black Forest carving, ca. 1900.
I was surprised to see these gourmet loaves. I thought it was taken out of production years ago.
A lot of people are saying that this is a recent picture of the Orange Hot Air Balloon.
A time of transition. We go from giving thanks for our bountiful harvest to celebrating hope in the times of darkness.
