Skunk. Wickerbeast. Forger of alternate realities. I do a lot of stuff. x.x 44/M
Working on my first VRChat world. It is slow going, but each update makes this place feel more "real". Jumping into VR and seeing this place in person was somewhat emotional for me. I've always been a builder and a dreamer. I want to build spaces where people can connect and create memories.
Quick lunch break sketch. Trying to draw an African Wild Dog from memory. How do those spots go again? 😅
Back when I took my friend @vrstarfall.bsky.social to the haunted house at Pokopea Land in VRChat for the first time. This was a really fun stream night.
I sometimes do an art… Not sure what happened here. I was going to draw my albino skunk character, Edith… But I drew a possum instead. I literally forgot Edith was a skunk lol
I can be a bit uncoordinated, but I try my best to stumble upwards.
“Wait…I just had an idea… Okay, this is really stupid, but…” My mind. I swear.
Non-Photo Blue pencils. I want to do a video on my favorites some day! I will say, the Prismacolor Col-Erase is an oddball. Hard lead. Needs heavy pressure. I find it works best with a heavier paper with a coarse tooth. Something that can fight it to extract the pigment it doesn’t want to give up.
My daily commute offers some time to work on my creative endeavors. These short pockets of down time never feel like enough. Gotta take advantage of them though!
On the road to writing my first graphic novel, I’ve absolutely engrossed myself in study. Such a fascinating rabbit hole it has become. I’ve bought an embarrassingly large number of books on the subject. I just wanted to show off the cover of this one. Looks like something out of Gravity Falls!
The blessing and the curse of being creative is to always know my output never quite lives up to the vision in my head. I wish my skills could do justice to my vision. My output falls short. But, I know I am making progress. I have to keep pressing forward. It is good to have something push towards.
I’m learning the art of not caring. Stressed about getting the pose just right? Just draw it. Be messy if that’s all you’ve got and don’t hold back. In this day and age? We got machines that will spit out just whatever with utmost confidence. Why stress? You have got soul. Lay it out. No matter what
My Dorks. I drew a web comic with these guys from 2011 to 2017. I have been wanting to give it a reboot.
I feel I've let myself be held back from so much because of perfectionism. I guess if I could give any artistic advice, I would say just go for it. Dive in. Explore. Experiment. For Pete sake, get messy. Pour hard fought passion into a page and watch your pen strokes come to life. Express your soul.
Artwork for a graphic novel concept I've been mulling over in my head. Rough. Sketchy. Quick. I'm trying not to worry too much about perfection. Just gotta get this stuff out.
Thanks Zephyr. Skunks gotta appreciate the tail. I did a bit more work on it tonight. I was trying some ideas with clothing. I would like to make stuff like this for VR.
Learning 3D modeling is like... Honestly, I think I might have to split the shorts down the middle and just retopologize half with a mirror modifier... But, gosh. How do you work in tight spaces like this? x.x
Updated my avatar a bit tonight. Some old clothing I modeled last year. Updated my wicker with a new fur shader. Wanted to get a photo with an action pose. Had trouble getting my balance right for the shot.
Headshot of my skunk boy. Still figuring out the design… I’m getting some Legosi vibes here.
I figured it was time to reimagine my fursona. I’ve grown so much over the last 5 years. As always, I’m a work in progress. Maybe a little more worn. Maybe a little wiser. Grateful to still be here.
