Inbetween the two panels is an onomatopoeia depicting a "Pop!" sound.

The second panel then reveals that what Colin was pulling was not the stem of a Pikmin, but instead that of the Annoying Dog from Undertale & Deltarune (which has a Pikmin-esque stem on its head... for some reason.)
