#SlazoCollection Day 638. Theme Park World! “Eureka! We’ve discovered a new ride!” Woooo- “Oh wait hang on, we’ve researched a new ride upgrade, ahhh, that’s good too” … *strangles advisor*
#SlazoCollection Day 637. Lucario plushie! Considering Lucario’s prominence for a non-starter Pokémon, I’m surprised it took me so long to see a plushie of him in the wild. Though I’m still unsure as to why he blew up so much out of all the Gen4 ‘mon, it can’t have been the movie, surely.
Y’know, for a first attempt at baking flapjack, these didn’t come out too bad. Though probably next time I’d throw something else in there or make them a little less sweet.
#SlazoCollection Day 636. Forza Horizon 3! Got a digital copy of this bundled with my Xbox One, and now, a decade(?) later, sprung for a physical copy. My most played FH alongside the original, these games are so good at giving you so much to do, explore and play with.
#SlazoCollection Day 635. Saya Nendoroid! Saya no Uta has always stuck with me. It’s not my favourite VN (that’s Grisaia) or my first (…also Grisaia), but it’s left the biggest mark, and if I was recommending a VN, as long as you’re fine with a little grotesqueness, this is the one I’d champion.
#SlazoCollection Day 634. Pool Paradise! I’m sorry, Archer Maclean? From the Mercury game? What, did he see Tom Clancy getting his name everywhere and wanted to jump in on that? And like, if it’s endorsed by Jimmy White, why isn’t his name in the title? So many questions.
#SlazoCollection Day 633. Wakfu BluRay! This might’ve been the first Kickstarter I ever backed? Wakfu is a beautiful French animated series from… 2008… christ where does the time go… so when the chance came to actually support an official release I was all in.
#SlazoCollection Day 632. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla! Probably the most recent Assassin’s Creed game I could remember, as after this point I feel like the timeline becomes nebulous and blurry again. But if you view it as a kind of reboot trilogy, Valhalla is a great way to cap those off.
#SlazoCollection Day 631. Cyndaquil plushie! Crazy how I didn't get this plushie until... I wanna say MCM 2010? Like, nowhere sold Gen2 plushies at the time despite it being peak Pokémon era. I picked Cynda at the time because Fire, and while I still love him, in hindsight I prefer the other two.
#SlazoCollection Day 630. Uncharted: Golden Abyss! Believe I got this bundled with my Vita, saying “I’ll play it when I get round to the Uncharted series”. I think that was 15 years ago now? Though I never hear people reminisce on this one, so I guess it wasn’t all that.
#SlazoCollection Day 629. Wimbledon shirt! Fresh from The Championships themselves! If by fresh you mean 2019 when I went on Women’s Finals Day and wait that was 7 years ago now? I hate time.
#SlazoCollection Day 628. Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle & Sparks of Hope! What a world it was to have a Nintendo and Ubisoft joint-project, it to be an Xcom inspired game featuring the Rabbids, and then it was good enough to get a sequel. You love to see it.
#SlazoCollection Day 627. Takanashi Kiara Popup Parade figure! Apparently I never did this one, but it’s Kiara’s Popup! One of the first I owned since she came out fairly quickly unlike her Nendo which took forever.
#SlazoCollection Day 626. Final Fantasy Type-0 HD! Apparently I got the steelbook of this too, somehow. It was definitely curious to see a PSP game running on the PS4, with some parts upscaling well and others… really not. But always fascinating to play another FF spinoff and its take on everything.
Completely forgot Everything Eresh came out today in FGO, finally, this team is complete
#SlazoCollection Day 625. Jirachi plushie! Gen3's lil' mythical wonder. I really enjoy Jirachi's lore, even if getting the guy legit can prove to be a bother (luckily I own Channel). Shame they never made an anime movie with them in. Hm? Wish Maker? We don't talk about that one.
#SlazoCollection Day 624. Forspoken! I remember a lot of people giving this a lot of shit, but hey, new IPs in the AAA space this generation are hard to come by. Definitely not a classic by any means, but I’d rather we got more of these than endless remasters and uninspired sequels.
#SlazoCollection Day 623. We Solve Murders! Any fears of Osman being a one trick pony were washed away by this book. It suffers a little from perspective bloat, but its loveable lead trio ride out any issues, and provide a more bombastic alternative to the Thursday Murder Club.
#SlazoCollection Day 622. Baten Kaitos! One of my prouder gets for my Gamecube library over the past few years, though I’ve just discovered the other BK game never came out in Europe so… that one’ll be harder to track down…
#SlazoCollection Day 621. Haruhi Suzumiya Nendoroid! One of the first anime I watched way back in 2009/10, after coming to uni and realising there was way more than Pokémon et al. Staggering to reflect on how massive Haruhi was back then and what an impact it had on a generation of weabs.
#SlazoCollection Day 620. Bravely Second: End Layer! The second Bravely Default game! Or is it? Because there's also Bravely Default 2. Gotta love video game names sometimes.
#SlazoCollection Day 619. Treecko plushie! From that time where Pokémon fell off the radar a bit, so finding plushies was suddenly so much harder. I think this one came from Cheltenham? Maybe? Treecko's one of my fave Grass starters, though it was never gonna beat Torchic in a young Slazo's eyes.
#SlazoCollection Day 618. Assassin’s Creed Origins! This one’s always been weird to me, as it soft rebooted the series, but no-one seemed to talk about it, then Odyssey & Valhalla happened and people were telling me this one was great too. I bounced off it at the time, but will try it again one day.
#SlazoCollection Day 617. Pokémon badges! I… completely forgot I owned these. And where I got them from. I can only assume a Secret Santa? Either way, these are beautiful. I made little card versions of the first two gen’s badges as a kid, so having actual ones you can buy nowadays is lovely.
#SlazoCollection Day 616. Minecraft! Oh right yeah, this lil’ game. I actually forgot I had a physical copy, I assume it was bundled with my Xbox One, as most of my playtime is on the modded PC version and Project Ozone 3. Every few years though, I do get the urge, and it has been a minute…
#SlazoCollection Day 615. Frieren YouTooz figure! You might have picked up on the subtle hints that I like Frieren, what with the Nendos and the Popups and the other merch and now this YouTooz figure. But this is the last figure! For now.
#SlazoCollection Day 614. Metroid Prime Remastered! While more people getting to play Prime is a good thing, this was definitely another of those twilight Switch releases to pad the line up. And I mean, why not do the rest of the trilogy while you’re at it…?
#SlazoCollection Day 613. Axew plushie! I don't think I have that many Gen5 plushies, a shame considering it's one of my favourite gens. But considering Iris's role in the anime, no wonder Axew is one of the ones I do own. Plus it's one of my favourite Dragon types!
#SlazoCollection Day 612. Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty! From an era where woah, downloading an entirely new Ratchet game? Digitally? This is the future! Except I got the physical version because woah, physical releases of digital games, these are neat ideas I won’t be sick of in a decade.
#SlazoCollection Day 611. A Handheld History! Growing up in the era of handheld gaming was beautiful, from Pokémon on Game Boy to the countless hours on my DS and Vita, so getting more of an insight on those and the systems I never played made this another Lost in Cult must have.
