This is what the sky looks like in New Jersey on what was otherwise supposed to be a bright, sunny day (and originally was in the morning hours). I'm reading that the AQI may reach as high as 250 tonight.

Chillin, on another walk 😌

It's pouring rain out, with no signs of it stopping anytime soon. Tom Misch & De La Soul on the speakers, comfort cooking, and cleaning for the day it is then 😌 I'm excited for my first art print for the new place to arrive in the mail!

The rest of this week's meal prep is complete! I had been slowly re-introducing my body to Soy over the past year, after over 6 years of having severe GI reactions to it. Now, alongside the Coconut Aminos I've been using as a substitute, I can finally enjoy GF soy sauce in my fried rice recipe 😋

This week, last year, I was packing what little I had left to move near-halfway across the country just so that I'd have an actual closet to live in. With little more than the clothing on my back and my computer things. Almost 15 years of things lost, overweight, emotionally broken, and afraid.

I didn't want to record to the right of me, but there were a whole bunch of people just pausing as they walked by so they could dance along. Nothing like stepping out for a walk on Friday evening after a long week and coming across straight vibes.

There are few things in life that I enjoy more than a summer rain.

I found this old photo I took from the last time I was in Scarborough, ON. It's been way too long since I've been to Canada. I used to go every year, sometimes multiple times per year, to visit friends and the loads of family I have there.

The start of the music nook begins... Last year, I lost almost everything I had, alongside so much more. Among the material items was a piano and vinyl collection I built over 9 years. All I have is one of my favorite albums, some shelves, and a table with no record player (yet). It's something!

There's another one underneath, but these two buns have been hanging out with me for the past hour while I've just been chilling and eating in my car. A dog on a walk spooked them earlier, and then they hopped right back after it left. I loved watching them hopping over each other.

Not from today, but I forgot to post this last week. NJ has an abundance of small and large, beautiful parks like this. My favorites are those with views of the NYC skyline, but the cozy burbs are certainly calming as well 🙂‍↕️
