Received my WA ballot in the mail today, filled it out during dinner, dropped it off in a dropbox this evening. Everyone in the country should have the option to vote like this.
I made this Wasabi Avocado Chicken Breast dish tonight, and it is so incredibly delicious.
Just remembered how wild Lou Reed's setlist was at a benefit I attended that he did back in the day with Los Lobos, Chris Isaak, and David Crosby also on the ticket. Absolute bonkers selection of covers.
As I continue reading through the DDP run of GI Joe, I just picked up the Dreadnoks: Declassified TPB, and it looks pretty great so far, especially with all the variant covers in the back. Really looking forward to reading this, because I love me some Zartan & the 'Noks.
These are my #1 favorite flowers on our property, and they're only around for a month or so every year. I think they're called Columbines, but who would name a flower after a school shooting? That can't be right.
Quote with a great self-titled album that isn’t by The Beatles or Metallica.
Just an incredible show from LCD Soundsystem last night in Reno. And a wonderful venue.
Here at Reno's Grand Sierra Resort for tonight's LCD Soundsystem show, and there isn't a bad seat in the whole place. Should be a great show.
Made this Shredded Tofu Bulgogi Bowl tonight, and it's incredible. Highest possible recommendation. thefoodietakesflight.com/shredded-tof...
What a show by The Prodigy tonight at The Novo DTLA tonight. Can finally scratch seeing them live off my bucket list.
Ozzy the Doodle messed up his paw last week, so has been doing red laser treatments to help the swelling and encourage healing. I got these pics from the vet tech of him wearing his safety goggles, and it's the best thing ever.
I love getting notifications about where my Power Red blood donations head out to. Thinking good thoughts for whoever is in a situation where they need my O+ juice, and I hope it helps them.
Storm Rider and his Doom Cycle is one of the lesser-known Dreadnoks, but he's pretty great. They should definitely add him to the GI Joe Classified line.
After being out of town for most of the month, it was great to get back to work with my Sunday D&D group. One of the highlights of my week.
Today's Hawaiian farmer's market meal: Chilean pastel de choclo/corn pie. Ground beef, chicken, black olives, and sliced eggs, covered by a layer of cornmeal. Incredible Sunday morning breakfast.
This is the Giant African Snail, which can carry the rat lungworm parasite that causes meningitis in humans, making it illegal to own as a pet in the US. But I love them ...
This GI Joe villain Headman figure is simultaneously hilarious and terrible. Zoot suit, domino mask, giant flashing missile launcher, and whatever skin/drooling medical issue he's dealing with. "Real American Heroes Don't Do Drugs!"
I'm a sucker for Doctor Mindbender, so was hyped to find his white labcoat figure last week, and grabbed it immediately. Who's your favorite "weird" GI Joe/Cobra character?
Picked up a sealed (except for the failed tape after all these years), unused, unassembled Dreadnok Thunder Machine. It's my favorite vehicle of all time, so I love having this now. If only they would announce a Haslab version, I would be thrilled.
Big international food event this weekend at the University of Idaho. Will I go broke before I get full? Or vice versa?
