This is probably the closest I've gotten to this style with raw painting in Clip Studio, and it involves setting up each length of coil as its own layer!
I'll try to do one for the next one! A lot of it is using existing 3d stuff that I've made and a lot of blender node stuff for the material. While I do go over it in paintover, most of the actual shading work is done by blender! Here's a good example of the before and after for one of the previous!
