Always get lots of oooohs and ahhhhs when I use my fancy Bundt pan. (Here is the one I have: www.nordicware.com/products/her... )
Cozy Sunday read: STRAIGHT by Dick Francis. First person POV of a jockey-turned-private investigator after his brother dies under mysterious circumstances. Apparently there are many in the series and I am loving it. Noir-ish but (now quaint) modern touches.
My friend Helen has a couple of pomegranate trees fruiting and she brought us some fruit. We made whipped feta and topped a baguette from Artisana with it, the Pom seeds, pine nuts, and hot honey I picked up in Charleston.
Unpacked and the Finger Lakes souvenirs were a hit! A new-to-us dry rosé, a bulb of garlic from a roadside farm stand, and fermented goods from the Ithaca Farmers Market.
A final lovely meal at Sackett’s Table. Heirloom tomato salad with mozzarella, croutons, pancetta, arugula and basil. Sweet and spicy Elk meatballs stole the show though. Bonus: Adam reminded me he used to work at Rainbow Lodge when he lived in Houston!
Took a shot on one last dinner out in Seneca Falls and found my friend Adam, the best waiter/bartender I know, including myself lol
Martha had plans so it’s just me and Albert for lunch today. Linguine and clam sauce and holding the couch down.
obsessed with the mary peltola for us senate signs text "fish" lmao i love you, alaska
Had a visit with the Swampfamily today. Jamin is weaving again and he looks so happy and healthy ♥️ Top tier cousin and friend.
Having fun in the Finger Lakes. Wineries, farm stands, family dinners, cocktails. Gonna hang with some friends and watch Phish live from Fenway later tonight and go night swimming.
Swamp Road Baskets on FB and IG if you need gorgeous baskets in your life.
I’ll freeze whatever I don’t use this week into ice cubes for later. Banner basil year at my house.
Guys, this exhibit is so worth the price of admission. I have no idea why I look so scared in the second selfie lmao
If you’re giving up lettuce atm allow me to suggest a mix of radishes and sugar snap peas with a vinaigrette of your choice. Usually I would toss in a salty cheese like feta as well, tbd.
RIP homemade creamed spinach that I ruined by shattering the baking pan with the cooking vessel during transfer.
