Share a book you'd love to see adapted into a movie.

We're looking at the cover of a book by Patrick Ness called Burn. The title is in the centre of the cover with flames round it and the shape of a dragon around and within those flames. I would add it's more fun than the tag line suggests!

The Monocled Mutineer. Caused a bit of a political ruckus, but it was so good. About a soldier (Percy Toplis) who passed himself of as a officer. It does not end well. Written by Alan Bleasdale. Photo shows a young and sprightly Paul McGann in the lead role.

33.8mm of rain today. Which came with a mighty thunderstorm too. I don't suppose this is a record but it's A Lot for us.

Uni weather monitoring site shows we had 33.8mm of rain today. And didn't we know it. (Lightning and thunder came included in the package deal.)

I was thinking of something more like this.

Sleek, black carbon fibre bike. Urtopia retails for $1,900. It's pictured on a light gravel (?) off road cycle path, with grass to one side and trees and shrubs visible. a sunny scene. Probably lovely to cycle along.

Idly looking up exactly what a henge is, I find this anecdote about Julian Cope who has written on such things to great academic praise. *chef's kiss*

Cope has lectured on the subject of prehistory, and also at the British Museum ... where he appeared in five-inch platforms and his hairspray set of fire alarms, causing the building to be evacuated.
