Sure, poly relationships can be complicated, but they can also be quite rewarding
I made butternut squash ricotta gnocchi in makhani sauce with garam masala salmon for dinner last night

I woke up crying and then started going about my day, thinking I was done for a bit. Then I read this (from Snake-Eater by T Kingfisher):
The way you forget how to trust yourself after an abusive relationship (Snake-Eater by T Kingfisher)
Entirely too relatable lol (Dear Stupid Penpal by Rascal Hartley - this book is very fun)
The #1 movie when you were 10 years old is how your 2026 is going to go. I hate time travel lmao
I tried to let this go but I cannot tell you how much I hate this kind of fatalism. It's not true historically and it's not true now. You can make good art and not necessarily starve.
"Starvation scars more than the stomach." (Lesser Hungers by Rien Gray)
"if we're known for anything here, it's stubbornness" Love this (Lesser Hungers by Rien Gray)

"As though they should have real meaning or consequence" (Glass Houses by Madeline Ashby)
"California, where people have more feelings" (Glass Houses by Madeline Ashby)

"It seemed to Anna that the concept of "vacation" was antithetical to the concept of "family."" - Diavola by Jennifer Thorne
They say write what you know (excerpt from my novel, Ghosts of Bakersfield)
This part!!! The number of times I've heard T1s as having the "good type" as if we T2s brought this on ourselves with bad behavior. The primary factors for T2 are: genetics, economic indicators of health, childhood trauma, eating disorders, and chronic stress. I sure brought this on myself huh
So often in media (maybe especially horror and thrillers) they get diabetes very wrong, and it's obviously being utilized as a device to accelerate the plot/motivate characters. And they treat insulin as if it does the opposite and highs as if they were lows. Crafting for Sinners gets it right 💕
