We’re dry, dry, dry, not even the usual scant rainfall, so many usual visitors are elsewhere-but we do have some javalina, snakes, tarantulas & pocket gophers -so there’s that! 😂🐜🦟🕷️ Do you know why my red harvester ants are collecting small bird feathers along with seeds & leaves?

The problem is so severe we can’t even contemplate it, much less have MSM report on it or discuss rational, international solutions!

It’s raining NW of Tucson, be careful in the wash!

They don’t look tasty! We had .31 inches of rain (not a real monsoon) & 24 hrs later these: they don’t look tasty either😝

These javalinas scared off our assorted birds from the on- ground bird bath - at 1:00 in the afternoon! Everyone is seeking water & shade.

In the desert (and elsewhere) every living thing needs water. So what are we doing? Allowing corporations to “get” water by hook & by crook & any means necessary for their data centers that spread lies & misinformation for profit!

Glories have the best stories!

Even the mission figs (Opuntia ficus-indica) need watering this summer - a first in decades - as they are drought pruning, dropping their outermost pads to conserve water for the main trunks. The birds miss their succulent seedy fruit!
