earlier this year i watched IPHIGENIA (1977), a movie adaptation of the play 'iphigenia in aulis' by euripides. you can read it as a prequel to the odyssey: it's about agamemnon grappling with the decision to sacrifice his daughter, iphigenia, to give the greeks favourable winds to sail to troy
on the other hand i narrowly missed nolan collaborator and 2012 meme icon aidan "littlefinger" gillen who looked like he'd just rolled out of bed so maybe i wasn't too out of place
my 3-screen local was hosting the latest christy nole premiere the other night while i was there to see a dinky little italian hangout movie and i felt very out of place in shorts and baseball cap while everyone else stood around looking very glam and getting papped and such
just for completion's sake: lee in his mid-40s and dooku in his mid-40s (BBY date is undefined). some artistic concessions aside (clearly given to hew closely to the famously pin-headed dooku of animation, as well as everyone being more or less smooth-faced) this feels pretty close
sort of a fun inverse of the old ben effect: dooku/christopher lee around 22 BBY/2002, vs. a positively youthful depiction of dooku a decade prior; and then how christopher lee *actually* looked at that age. a testament to serennian anti-aging treatments!
i finally got cyberpunk 2077 and everyone's dialogue just sounds like this to me

found my old pokémon card collection. ton of first set stuff from 1999-ish and finishes up with the last set i bought new (power masters ex i think, in 2007). also found this little plastic coin that came in one of the precons i bought. it's so cute, i love pokémon
