He learns that as much as Namjoon loves whiskey, he sometimes loves a sweet cocktail even more. Yoongi has taken to stockpiling recipes and trying them out on Namjoon to varying levels of success. (The mint chocolate one was a hard no, but the cinnamon vanilla old-fashioned–using real vanilla beans that he’s saved for months–was an instant favorite.)

For all her confident demeanor, her bluster, her jokes, Soojin does have a soft underbelly. She learned long ago not to let it show, but the more time she spends with Jungha and Yoongi, the more she finds that she wants to. She's never had anyone she's wanted to be vulnerable with, but just seeing the two of them, how comfortable they are with each other, makes Soojin want to be, too.

Yoongi smiles and peers down at the display, which includes several interesting facts about the solar system. “I knew the sun was much bigger than Earth, but I never really thought about it that way, no,” he says.

Her movements are on autopilot as she empties her pockets, hauls her bag onto the conveyor belt, and removes her shoes. She goes through the metal detector, retrieves her things, and starts walking before she realizes she forgot to check if she's even going in the right direction. She retrieves her slightly crumpled boarding pass from her bag and frowns at it. She can't believe that after five years, Min Yoongi is still able to so easily knock her off course. She can't believe that after five years, she's even run into him at all.

“I just…I wish I had at least been able to speak to them one last time,” he says. “I wish they had known how much I loved them, even when I was being a little shit.”

“I’m sure they knew,” Namjoon says. “Like I said, you were a kid. They loved you. They knew you, even if you felt like they didn’t.”

Yoongi isn’t sure about that, can’t erase the years of guilt and doubt that plagued him, but it does help to hear Namjoon say it.

In those early days after the spider bite, when his heightened senses would go haywire as his body tried to adjust to the foreign DNA, it had been Yoongi who’d slip into his room, fit his own noise-canceling headphones over Jungkook’s ears, and hold him tightly until his breathing evened out and his heart was beating normally again.

Yoongi's eyes widen momentarily before he snorts out an amused huff.

“What?”

“Look,” Yoongi says. The sun has set and they still haven't turned on the lights, so Jungkook's dorm room is cast in a grey gloom, lit only by the glow of their computer screens. Jungkook leans over, and Yoongi turns his screen toward him, grinning.

It's Spider-Man fan art, a piece where he's shown from waist-up, wearing only his mask. Instead of his suit covering his torso, his bare chest and arms are rendered in exquisite detail, every bulging muscle and defined six-pack glistening with sweat.

“Thoughts?” Yoongi says, turning his head to look at Jungkook with a smirk.

“That's….that's a lot of detail,” Jungkook says, a little shell-shocked. “I don't look like that in real life.”

Yoongi shrugs. “Close enough.”

“He told me that he met Commander Kim’s paramour,” Jimin says, savoring each syllable. “And when he described the guy, he sounded a lot like someone I knew.”

“Did he now,” Yoongi responds with a sigh, looking up at the ceiling.

“He did,” Jimin says, grinning gleefully. Then he smacks Yoongi on the arm, hard.

“Ow!” Yoongi yelps. “Jimin, what the fuck?!”

“Why didn’t you tell me you were fucking a hot Starfleet officer?” Jimin says furiously. “As a hot Starfleet officer myself, I need to know these things!”

“Jimin, you specifically told me you didn’t ever want to hear about me fucking another hot Starfleet officer!”

“Well, that was when the hot Starfleet officer in question wasn’t the fucking First Officer on my ship!”

“Can you guys stop saying ‘hot Starfleet officer’?” Jungkook says loudly from the other side of the bar. “It’s getting really repetitive.”

I finally finished the top I crocheted myself to wear for my vegas concert!!! I followed a pattern overall, but designed the arirang logo tapestry panel myself 😁 I'm so happy with how it turned out!!!!!

🌟 canonverse concert drabble+ (265w) 🌟 yoonmin (yoonjinmin if you squint) 🌟 inspired by watching this jinmin dynamite dance battle video several times in a row (linked in next post)

Yoongi plants his feet and watches as Seokjin and Jimin face off playfully, crossing his arms over his chest as Seokjin does his little impromptu dance break. His unfairly handsome face is at odds with the slightly awkward way his limbs twist and flail, and Yoongi feels himself grin, heart twisting with fondness. His gaze, as always, wanders over toward Jimin, and he's an unintentional mirror of Yoongi in the way he looks at Seokjin with amused delight, mouth open in a smile. When it's Jimin’s turn, his body moves in that trademark effortless Jimin way, where he always manages to be unbearably sexy even when he’s not trying to be anything other than silly.

Jimin's eyes are bunched up into happy crescents, his long blond hair glowing under the stage lights. They've always said that Hobi is their sun; but privately, secretly, Yoongi sees Jimin as his own terrifyingly beautiful star, one he can't help but orbit around. From the start, he's always been pulled into Jimin’s gravity–he never had a choice.

Jimin is incandescent, and Yoongi can hear his bright laugh through his in-ears as he crouches and twirls into a little spin. Yoongi thinks, not for the first time by a long shot, that he'd do anything to make sure Jimin gets to do this forever; he'd let himself burn up alive if it meant Jimin–that all the members–could bask in this warmth and adoration forever. He feels the bass thump through the stage under his feet, in time with the beating of his heart, and he thinks, yes, this is home.

bv2 was SO fun to watch bc I got to visit so many of the spots they went to, it really brought me such joy 😁 here are the food truck pics! it was actually closed that day which made it easier to get a pic (but that area has lots of shrimp trucks so I still got yummy shrimp)
