Dinner tonight, meatloaf, scalloped potatoes, and green beans.

Mom decided she also wanted an in between size bag in this yarn with this fabric inside.

My aunt, mom’s older sister, loves doing jigsaw puzzles, but her granddaughters only get her things they like so she can do them and they’ll hang them up as artwork at their house. So… Mom got her sister puzzles that fit said older sister’s preferences.

Mom decided she wanted me to crochet her a bag with this.

Random kit I found and got.

Did some work on the Galaxy cross stitch I got from Leisure Arts where they couldn’t be bothered to provide good labels on the thread.

Finally finished crocheting my Jersey Devil. Mom being in the hospital, I ended up working on him.

Needed to go to my happy place, the craft store, so I decided on the next project from the Creep Cross-Stitch book. Going to do the trick or treat one. The picture from the book.

Finally added arms. Still have ear, horns, wings, and a tail left.

Got sick of staring at the teal project for the scarf and decided to get another set of needles and work on my cousin’s. If you’re curious, the needles are Lykke Copper needles and the needle covers say cluck off. Mom got them for me from Phat Girlz Fibre Llc.

New kits from brands I know I can trust…. unlike leisure arts (I have even tried their crochet kits just to test… No).

Found the knitting needles for one of my favorite brands I use on crochet hooks. Let’s see how I like these.

Jersey Devil finally has legs. Still have a bunch of pieces, but legs are on.

I am never buying another leisure arts cross stitch kit. They don’t label anything… I just spent the better part of an hour having to look at their completed picture and make my best guesses to determine thread symbol. Wrote them on the non-shiny side of the card.

This is one of the ones hanging in my office.

I just know with whole canvas images like I do, that just gives a beautiful piece for a bag. If you want to see what a full canvas looks like… here’s a design where I converted a latch hook into a cross stitch.

If you want an example of my own personal design… This is nearly 2/8ths of the way done.

And a little more done on the original version… got some flourishes in. I know when I do my more color version that’s meant to look vintage, I am not adding those flourishes or the back stitch details on the skull because they would detract from the look I’m going for.

Got the cloth for my recreation of the poison bottle. Wanted to create an old vintage look.

Getting there on the version that follows the actual design. Still need to get an Aida for the one where I do it in my own color scheme.

So, I started a cross stitch kit that I liked the look of, it's going well... But, I thought, this is a little dull, why not make it more colorful. I decided to go through my thread collection and find the colors I want and now just need an aida cloth for it. The project, where I am, and the colors.

First parts of my Jersey Devil has been complete.

Next time… don’t do a one for one swap of pasta and rice, but tastes good.

The rainbow phoenix is done! My pride month contribution.

Rainbow Phoenix now has wings and feet. Just need to figure out the tail feathers as I just finished using all the colors in the skein.

Only feet, wings, and tail left. Skein has been split to ensure that all colors get represented.

First part done. I’ll probably have to cut the yarn into pieces to get all the colors of a rainbow.

I find it so crazy after years of crochet, finally learning to knit and this is 12 rows of knitting.

Finally working on the shawl I want to make with my fancy yarn from the fiber festival.
