There are time when just stopping is the right thing to do. On the way to getting bloodwork and pick up new meds I passed this lamppost on my bike. On the way back I stopped to get the sun behind it. It was so relaxing just to stop, look, capture the image, and chat to an older lady who was passing
Time to top up the red! And redo the teal. And all whilst listening to a stunning 80s sound track!
As well as finishing my second book, I’ve also been lucky enough to have reviewed 2 books so far this year. This landed on my letter box today. @engstromjimmy.bsky.social’s 4th edition of Web Development with Blazor. Looking to up your Blazor skills? Get a copy and work though! 💯 recommend!
Tomorrow we have a company outing, including a walk around a historic port. There’s no way I’d managed that so I rented a chair and my colleagues have said that they will push me so that I can enjoy the the day too. #ChronicIlness #ME #POTS
Those days when I just want or need to chill, this is my go to game: #TinyGlade. No objectives, no power ups, no missions. Just let your imaginary run wild and learn how you can use the daily basic building blocks to make something special! This is what I’ve been building the last couple of weeks 🥰
But it’ll be worth it to get the rooms back, and to get this toy back in the garage!
I love this though - pure luck, but it looks like these were meant to go together!
I’m very finished the book I was reviewing & given all my feedback, which meant that today I work a little on the studio… Starting to make the space for the day bed between the Kallax at the back of the room, and the ones at the front. I’m done, if I don’t stop I run the real risk of a PEM attack…
Buying books online has the convenience of getting more choice more easily. And it may be cheaper. However… Your local independent can generally order you what you want, and you can’t pick 5 books and then take 30 mins at a table to pick. Support your local independent shops. They are awesome.
Google having a celebration of Earth day whilst building massive data centers for AI and wasting stupid amounts of eneergy and water is sick. And not in the good way.
The weather has improved and seeing as the treadmill was busy at physio I decided to just take a walk outdoors ☺️
Some more updates! The layout for mobiles didn't quite work as I had hoped, so I made some updates this weekend. Making the tags work better, fixing issues with the images, and making it easier to read for both mobile and desktop.
Does it count as a hack, if bought full size keycaps for my low profile keyboard (because I like the look and typing experience) but then sanded down the keys that caused a problem? After all, MOA kecaps are not supposed to go on low profile keyboards...
I’m on the sick at the moment with a flare up of my ME, to try and keep me occupied I’ve been doing another picture (when I have the mental/physical energy at least). I’m loving seeing my improvements over time 🤩
Today was a little better. I managed this from start to finish. Practice with acrylic pens using gel pens for details. Next time I’m going to try alcohol, acrylic, and gel pens all together. When I’ve recovered more, doing this has hit my fatigue again…
Well, I managed the swatch sheets. Just. Seems that even coloring was too much for my body… After I got these finished I couldn’t do any actual colouring, and instead slept for 3 hours… Maybe today, we’ll see…
#Swetugg the aftermath! After an amazing few days that triggered my fatigue more than I was expecting, yesterday was super tough, and today and tomorrow are going to be bed days. So time to try my new pens and see if this helps…
Another #Swetugg over, Ted and Hippo are ready for the trip home. The conference, speakers, and of course the attendees have been amazing as always. Hey da Stockholm. Hope to be back soon!
Woohoo! Hippo and her travel companion are on board and ready for our Stockholm adventure! A week with Friends and then on to #Swetugg!!!
A relaxing morning of learning to shade using alcohol markers, and highlighting with gold, silver, and white gel pens. The fade. Between sky couples could be better, but not bad!
The joys of #ChronicIllness... Yesterday I got a hair cut. I adore the results, I was aiming for something a bit more extreme than I normally do, maybe a little cyber punky. By the end of the cut I had a tick in 1 eye, and was absolutely broken. Today everything hurts and I think it's a bed day.
My hearing aids came with a travel case. Great, and I need it with me all the time so that the delicate wires don't get damaged if I need to take them out for any reason. But... Every time i catch sightbofnit i swear brain gets freaked about the strange mouse that has appeared 😂😅
So... My hearing aids work best with an iPhone... So once I know that I am keeping them (in about 3 weeks) I'm thinking of making the switch back. So I was just looking at what I can get one for saw this reccomendation. I know they got big, but do I really need a wall mount for it? 😅🤣
I decided to just do it. I don't think it's bad, but I'm not sure it was needed either...
So... Let's try making some Christmas alcohol marker drawings. Number 1 a caftoony Christmas tree. I'm happy with the shading, and the lights. I really want to do some metallic posca tinsel but and terrified of ruining it 😅🫣🤣
I am loving the train from Malmö to Stockholm! Only 15 euros upgrade to 1st class and it's space, comfort, drinks, snacks, and a delicious lunch! Another 75 mins and I can chill 🤩
And I'm now looking at what's new in C# and .NET with @wildermuth.com!
