Baby racoon headed back through the danger zone but this time navigated safely away.
Help needed! This baby #racoon is has its back foot stuck between my fence and a telephone pole. I've tried using a crowbar to pry the gap wider but it's not doing much. Is there a safe oil or some other technique to help free them? #animalrescue
If you are a fan of ROCK BEACHES, do I have a province for you! 90% of the beaches in Newfoundland are mainly rock. This is the beach where I spent my childhood summers, for instance.
I can't lie, this quote from a Gen Z-er thinking that Millennials used to get party invites in the mail is making me cackle. Even Gen X only uses mailed party invites for weddings.
This is the ideal Bsky post. You may not like it, but this is what peak posting looks like.
There are a pair of buns who live in our laneway and they make me so happy every time I spot them.
Jim is away at a con and I decided to not just live on Banjara's butter chicken while he is gone (for once).
Giles smothered so Amos could shoot. (I seriously love both these scenes)
I'm really loving VILLIAN so far, but also wondering what exactly my husband did to deserve this fictional fate (jk). (It might be a coincidence, but in a book about supervillains, that seems unlikely....)
No shade on folks who like marijuana, but I am delighted to see it ranked as less cool than reading books.
Happy (early) Murderbot Day! Big thanks to @bakkaphoenix.bsky.social who let me pick up my pre-ordered copy before the "official" release date. I was in the store 30 minutes after they sent me the email, because my self-control has gone to shit since disabling my governor module. #murderbot
Spotted this nice end-of-row placement at the St Clair & Dufferin library today, btw ❤️
Hamilton ON! I will be at the Bear & Board Game Cafe next Monday, April 13 for their D&D Crochet Social Hour, starting at 7 pm. Please check out the event invite for more information: www.eventbrite.ca/e/dungeons-d...
No photo, because we do not take photos of strangers in public, especially for purposes of posting on the interweebs. But there was a red nose, blue afro, bright baseball cap and a multi-coloured scarf involved. Instead, enjoy this festive garbage can from Logan Square Station.
On this Trans Day of Visibility, I have been listening to "The Spirit Bares Its Teeth" by Andrew Joseph White, which is the haunted Victorian trans boy trapped in a sanatorium gothic romance that I didn't know I needed but is so, so good.
Oooh, that puts me in mind of the greater star spawn emissary mini, although the clear mucous aspect definitely makes the gore-ooze even creepier!
I'm excited to announce that I'll be at @goblinmkt.bsky.social in Chicago, IL next Tuesday, March 31, to celebrate the launch of Dungeons & Dragons Crochet! Event details and store location are online here: goblinmkt.com/events/2026-...
If you haven't yet pre-ordered Dungeons & Dragons Crochet, now's your chance to do so for 25% off via Barnes & Noble! The book releases next Tuesday, March 31, so you won't even have long to wait. www.barnesandnoble.com/w/dungeons-d...
They also don't specify size. Japanese beer companies often have a 135 ml can that makes the "challenge" even easier!
Late reply but: I do have two of these! They are fairly small for men's clothing (about 16" across at the top of the shoulders) but let me know if you are interested. One is tagged as "Nicholas DBL" but I can't guarantee that means either of them was worn by Joseph Potter in the show.
Sounds like the Brits may be taking the Al Capone approach, given that this charge seems related to business trade secrets rather than, y'know, the actual crime.
Thanks for this! A few of the frockcoats I have match the one that Joseph Potter is wearing in this scene (S2 episode 3), which is pretty cool. This is giving me a great excuse to re-watch season two lol
Although the lot was listed as season 3, there are a number of season 2 leftovers, based on the name tags inside a few pieces. This pajama set, for instance, is from the S2 character Quang Pham. Other tags include "Gustave" (S2 played by Jake Cecil) and "Nicholas", who I couldn't find on IMDB.
As a costume nerd, this has been a lot of fun! I am learning a ton about professional costuming for TV from going through this stuff. But also: I have three of these lovely Michael Kors trenchcoats and they have all been attacked by a blowtorch. 🤷♀️
The distressing hasn't been done with some fancy cosplay technique, from what I can tell. It's just dirt. My hands are filthy from touching this stuff, despite washing them constantly. Then there's costuming stuff like this:
Something I need to clarify: the reason the auction only showed 8-12 items was because those were the best things in each lot. By far. There have been a few other treasures, but a lot of it is closer to this:
