🚥Greetings reggae fans. Righteous reggae star Samory I is performing in Los Angeles this Saturday night. I’ll be there to provide a full report for @reggae-vibes-nl.bsky.social, as well as to interview Samory afterward. If there’s a question you’d like me to ask, let me know. 🙏 🇯🇲 #Reggaesky/#Bluesky
Nice likkle tune that, different; I never heard that one before, so thanks for sharing it. I haven’t, but I probably should, scour my interviews (there are several) of Tony—to see what if anything he said about Stalag. If you want WhatsApp for Santa and Tony (or Ansel)—DM me. Fully is a tougher nut.
Well, as I told Ansel, as a reggae journalist, I’m not picking sides on something as important as this is; by interviewing Santa and Ansel about it, I think I gave a fair airing to both legendary musicians—and it’s up to others to decide who they believe and why. Definitely talk to Fully if you can!
🚥Good news📰 reggae fans! I’ve connected with legendary Jamaican bassist, singer, and producer Lloyd Parks, and we are planning a November reasoning/interview; please feel free to reply or otherwise message me about any questions you’d like me to ask Parks before then. Bless up!
🚥One Love to all the reggae fans everywhere. Just a reminder if it’s a Saturday always be sure to download—anywhere podcasts are available—the week’s new episode of @soundsofthecaribbean.com by Selecta Jerry. Bless up every time, Jerry! Pt 2 of Ansel’s interview out soon @reggae-vibes-nl.bsky.social
If you need/want a free link to this essay—published in multiple Alabama newspapers today—see my timeline for its initial publication in The Times of Israel. Thank you!
True. Not to mention—while the whole interview and what Hinds said remains as relevant today as it was then—I remember what Hinds said about how Bob Marley might teach us about Donald Trump’s candidacy for president were he still alive: “So much trouble in the world.” Then I said: “Crazy Baldheads.”
