Pushed me into the back of a 7-Series BMW so front and rear bodywork destroyed, rear chassis longerons bent, front wishbone ripped out of the upper chassis pickup point, amongst others. They’re actually bloody strong little cars but this was terminal. I bought the wreck and sold loads of parts.
I used to compete in a motorsport series in the car, so had Ganesh on the side for luck. More recently, upgraded the interior to match the exterior. Been off the road for 5 years and the MOT is next week. Can’t wait to get out and about. Brilliant car.
Totally understand !! Went into the garage to get something out of the freezer. Ended up taking photos of the car 😂
Fantastic evening in Oxford listening to the legend that is #MilesHunt. 36 years since I first listened to #TheWonderStuff and I still never tire of his music. Thanks Miles - superb evening and lifelong memories.
One of those would look good on my drive alongside its bigger brother 🙂
Rebuild nearing completion after 5 years in bits. Bodywork re-fitted, exhaust and engine repositioned, new alloys waxed and fitted, interior cleaned. Can’t wait to get it MOTd and back on the road #Lotus #Elise #LotusElise

Back when manufacturers made interesting cars. This, or an Alfa GTV though? Probably the GTV for me, but it’s a shame they’re both front-wheel-drive.

After too many years, the heavily tuned 1.8 K-Series is once again in the back of my Elise. Joy of joys, I’ve finally been able to get the lightweight flywheel and clutch to work - previously couldn’t engage any gears. Still lots to do but it’s close to being back on the road again.
I plan to get my rather fast Elise back on the road. It’s been in several large and small pieces for 5 years. The engine has been refreshed and I have got it back into the car. Hope the rather troublesome lightweight flywheel/clutch combo works after all the effort…

Just finished reading ‘Killing Thatcher’ about the IRA’s Brighton bombing and the ensuing manhunt to find the bomber. Excellently written and a gripping account of a pivotal moment in modern British history. Recommended.
I love watching the Red Kites that fly around here. So calming.
