Serving up delicious dinner with @booshie.bsky.social :3 Tempeh and mushroom bolognese, very yummy. S’posed to use spaghetti but a) penne is superior and b) I had some I wanted to use.

We made green (red cause I bought the wrong paste) curry orzo! It’s very yummy.

Dinner tonight: Asparagus, leek, and potato soup (ie, vegetarian chowder). Featuring the first eggs I’ve ever poached in water (they are not very good)!

A nice package (with some nice packages in it..) arrived today. @ottertale.bsky.social offers prints! Now to decide which of these are going on display…

In a failed quest for ice cream (they were closed) this evening, the party came across this Emergency Route GG sign which I enjoyed.

Tonight’s dinner: Hunter’s chicken baked rice. For some reason I struggle with baked rice dishes, the rice always seems to take dramatically longer than the recipe states.

I told @booshie.bsky.social that this ratatouille had a dressing of basil, sun dried tomatoes, and garlic and he declared it to be *salad*. Unbelievable. I may not be able to continue dating this.. this.. silliness!

When you put too many cookies on one tray.. it seems you get hexagons! I kinda like the effect even though I wouldn’t serve these.

A very Jonah-style dish tonight, tilapia (supposed to be cod) on pink (yogurt and gochujang) chickpeas!

A break from recipe testing tonight.. one-pot salmon and pilau rice.

A good one for the FCL dietary menu tonight: Misir Wat. Spiced red lentils, cooked with tomatoes and topped with garlic spinach and tofu.

This might fail to qualify cause the dicks are from your art. BUT..

Did some experimenting tonight. This is veganized chili.. it’s.. okay. I basically swapped beef for lentils so it’s not too much of a science project. Also added ancho spice and less achiote paste (because I learned they are different) and a splash of soy sauce. I think /2

New dish tonight! Dakdoritang, cause I saw it the other day and @toadally.bsky.social says it’s amazing. Mine is not totally proper because I used Urfa biber instead of gochugaru and I just plain forgot to buy chilies. It’s still frickin delicious tho.
