To teach them how Vietnam might repeat itself. Then the prequels took it further showing the rise of fascism. For 12 year olds. ALWAYS! 💙
I spent years obsessively listening to every Rolling Stones album. Relistening repeatedly until I had 24 tracks I couldn't live without. I've been listening to Foreign Tongues on repeat for 24 hours. I have to add 4 new songs to said 24. This is now my 3rd favourite Stones album. A masterpiece. 🥹🥹🥹
I'm on my 4th listen & the new Rolling Stones album is literally causing me to spontaneously weep with joy at how stunning it is. Honestly, I know every Stones album pretty well. I'm a big fan. This album is astonishingly fresh. Present. Joyful. It's like a musical balm for the jaded. A masterpiece!
Baylan Skoll in Ahsoka expresses very clearly what Star Wars is, & means to Dave Filoni. "Fairy tales. Fairy tales based on truth." This is the standard to fairly judge all of Star Wars by. It's all allegory. Don't overthink it. Don't take it literally. Just wallow in the beauty of visual parables.❤️🩹
When Ahsoka tells Anakin, "I will not fight you" in Shadow Warrior & Anakin replies, "I've heard that before" I get severe goosebumps. I see Luke sitting under the stairs, eyes closed, his anger being stoked, "I will not fight you Father." This stuff is like poetry or something.

I recently bought Megalopolis on 4K and have rewatched it three times in the last week. Undoubtedly it gets better with each subsequent viewing. Also, the more I watch it I'm like, what's supposed to be wrong with it again? It all makes sense as an allegorical discussion. It's beautiful & a gift! 🎯
In Supergirl when the characters on Krypton speak it's all subtitled. It's almost better not reading & feeling the emotion. Just thinking about those scenes breaks me. Mamoa - every moment - every reaction - is perfect. Negative talk remains nonsensical to me. It's a masterpiece of the genre. 💔❤️🩹❤️

I think the message that those who feel they were created by some kind of Force & yearn desperately to connect to said thread, somehow, unwittingly spoke to my yearning as a child to belong to something bigger than me. Bigger than all of us. I probably got more from this than Sunday School.
