Yes! It's fluid. In #rs5522 carriers, chronic vascular leak, interstitial fluid buildup, and cytokine spikes cause fibrotic walling of inflammatory fluid. This creates mass that looks like “obesity” but is actually trapped fluid in scar tissue cages.

Within the gold and blue zone outside the cell, leaked vascular fluid begins to pool,
building up volume that traditional tools misclassify as standard obesity. This stagnant
pooling activates the immune system, recruiting macrophages that arrange themselves

What is Long COVID? It's a permanent hormonal trap. COVID knocks out your anti-inflammatory brake (GRα). In #rs5522 variant carriers, missing GRα can force cortisol to over-activate the MR variant, permanently locking the HPA-axis "on" and freezing the body in a state of chronic illness.
