31. hakuouki shinkai reimeiroku still my favorite game in the series! was fun to play with better understanding! ibuki my precious sonboy protag... glad the shinkai stuff was mostly just in extras, outside of the new cgs that i didn't like because they clashed. i miss the og colors/patterns, too

29. final fantasy viii remastered MAN. playing this in jp was illuminating and gave me such a new appreciation for the writing in many places. i also still think the junction system is so funny. squall and rinoa, my beloveds. hope one day this can get a nice, expansive remake, honestly

don't play game for a million years, play in second language and unintentionally optimize so hard that squall's limit does 5k+ damage per hit with the finisher doing damage cap. one shot every fight by accident. i just started disc 3 lmaooo

28. tales of berseria remastered this is still definitely more of a port than a remaster and shouldn't have been sold as such, imo. but still a top 5 tales for me! love this game!! i had a lot of fun this run actually mastering every single playstyle and running chaos. so much fun tbh.

the problem with the way tales locs are handled is that they really have a hard time with consistency between games. sometimes this is like, style guide stuff or arte names... and sometimes it's entire character names or concepts. like this, which should be "Howe's Egg Principle"
