There's always new facts to learn (thanks to Ian for this one). The cover to the 1969 is an 'homage' of sorts to a Lost in Space cover from the previous year. So that's not a Dalek claw in Jamie's hand!

Apparently a third of everybody are idiots. According to this survey, 29% of British people think our subs should launch their nuclear missiles if the British government is destroyed in a nuclear strike. Not even the whole country, or a major city - just a bunch of politicians. So that tracks.

Catching up on some emails and saw Pete Bingham of Sendelica has died. He was a giant in current UK psych and one of the organisers of the annual Dr Sardonicus Festival. I'll be playing some of his releases from @fruitsdemerrecords.bsky.social this morning. RIP :-(
Just finished reading this short biography of Charles Hawtrey. Actually it’s more a monograph than a biography and it’s More an oddity than either of those. The author mentions at one point that another writer was doing a hawtrey book that was abandoned and that he was given all the other guys notes
