Your worst nightmare. The illegitimate love child of Holden Caulfield and Don Quixote. That guy who adds stuff to TVARK.
Post two movies from the same director to show their range… Robert Altman
The only other time I've heard the word Sinusoidal is in reference to a Sinusoidal Bath, which combines water and electric pulses. That's asking for trouble. 😳
Thank you! I DARE you to try and get Bakshi's follow-up, Coonskin (1975), starring Philip Michael Thomas, Scatman Crothers and Barry White. Think Song of the South reimagined as a Blaxploitation film. 😉
Victor Lewis-Smith wanted a referendum on the monarchy. I think we should respect his wishes, don't you?
I'm wearing a shirt with the TVS logo on it, someone came up to me in the middle of Carlisle out of the blue and said "I worked at the Southampton one in 1987, good to see someone remembers it!" 😃
In the Blackpool Opera House to see Sparks! 😃 @sparksofficial.bsky.social
I'd imagine her Doctor would wear the suit from the Sparks video she did. 😉
My Dad has bought some new blinds for the house, the way the sunlight catches them causes squiggly lines to be reflected on the ceiling. Why am I reminded of the cover for Joy Division's Unknown Pleasures? 🤔
I worked here for 5 years as Bingo Caller, now it's finally bit the dust. It's been bleeding money for years, COVID hurt it badly and they've had committee members with their hands in the tills. 😒 They got rid of me after the committee decided to do all the jobs themselves, a law unto themselves.
Although sports reporter Arnold Wilson didn't seem to have got the memo, he was kept on by TVS, and he still looked like he was going to kick your head in! 😆
Even with stuff you didn't think they owned. The late, great Oliver Ashmole-Day had a strike by ITV plc by uploading The Ruth Rendell Mysteries from TVS. Turns out the rights were held by an independent producer rather than TVS directly, so they've bypassed the rights nightmare with Disney. 🤔
Is it wrong that when this originally happened, I was instantly reminded of Monty Python's Upper Class Twit Of The Year sketch where Oliver St. John-Mollusc runs himself over? I had to laugh. 😆
A few years before, Daltrey appeared as a baddie in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. I don't know what's more of a comedown, doing this or The Bill.
Am at a film location! This is Muker in North Yorkshire, the Muker Literary Institute doubled for a police station in Evil Under The Sun (1982)! 😃
Ken Russell's The Devils (1971) is back in cinemas this October, and yes, it's the Director's Cut! 😄
