Time for a little #FridayFling from my award-winning contemporary romance novella, Tikka Chance on Me. For the prompt "vehicle." #romancelandia Buy links: books2read.com/u/mKKrNv
Here's a #FridayFling entry from "In Her Service" fulfilling the prompt "sigh." Originally pubbed in 2018's Rogue Hearts anthology and now living in my Prem Numbers collection, it's about Leticia, a Black woman VP, and Shahzad, her devoted Secret Service agent. Buy links: books2read.com/u/38E7YB
Sometimes Threads offers up a banger. Pun fully intended. A literal ball peen hammer is genius. I commend whoever came up with it.
Here's a #FridayFling from NOBODY'S BARGAIN for the prompt "jaw." In which bisexual hermit Ren tries to convince himself that he's darkity dark and bad for Hitha after their impulsive hook-up. Sure, buddy. Keep telling yourself that. #romancelandia Buy links: books2read.com/u/bxD0no
I've got an entry from each pen name for this week's #FridayKiss prompt of "ring." SPOILED BRIT's inconveniently married Baz and Ruby. Links: books2read.com/u/3LBQjw VP Leticia and Agent Shahzad from "In Her Service," in my PREM NUMBERS collection. Links: books2read.com/u/38E7YB #romancelandia
This week's #FridayFling word is "concern." I turned to my 2024 erotic novella SPOILED BRIT to fulfill the prompt. Baz is an A-list British actor. South Asian Ruby is trying to make it in TV. They got very kinky and very married in Vegas. Whoops. Buy links: books2read.com/u/3LBQjw #romancelandia
I have two entries for this week's #FridayFling prompt of "mine." One's from FROSTBURN, a MMF romantasy novella. Links: books2read.com/u/47aYWq The other's from STARF**KER, an erotic romance. (I struggled to pick a bit I'm OK with sharing on main. 😂) Links: books2read.com/u/mdaeXW #romancelandia
I got this #FridayFling done on Thursday night and I fulfilled the prompt for "scatter" with the first file I opened! I'll never be that lucky again. 😂 This one's from TIKKA CHANCE ON ME, my award-winning 2018 biker romance that's not really a biker romance. Buy links: books2read.com/u/mKKrNv
This week's #FridayFling prompt is "contradiction" and I actually found an appropriate entry while battling a "Karma Chameleon" earworm. From FROSTBURN, my MMF romantasy novella very (VERY) loosely inspired by The X-Files season 8. #romancelandia Buy links: draft2digital.com/book/3908763
If The Punisher: One Last Kill leaves you feeling frisky, check out BIG BAD WOLF, high-heat paranormal romantic suspense that takes place in an alternate—but very familiar—reality after the 2016 election. The titular wolf was heavily inspired by the MCU's Frank Castle. Buy: books2read.com/u/3kMp6K
Just remembered to make some "read my werewolf Punisher book" promos to coincide with Punisher: Last Kill dropping tomorrow. Will I remember to post these promos? Fuck if I know. 🤷🏽♀️ So here's one now! #romancelandia Buy links: books2read.com/u/3kMp6K
I have a #FridayFling this week! Yay! From STARF**KER, which I once touted as my most explicit book. Turns out, several of my stories could compete for that title. 😂 The prompt word is "solo" and here we are in chapter two. (After sex in chapter one.) #romancelandia Links: books2read.com/u/mdaeXW
This week's #FridayFling entry, for the prompt "march," is from chapter one of PRETTY LITTLE LION—my second paranormal romantic suspense tradpub book, released in 2021. #romancelandia Buy links: books2read.com/u/mgMn00
The second #FridayFling is from SPOILED BRIT, my drunk Vegas wedding/marriage of inconvenience novella. I had filthier whispering options, but I went with Baz and Ruby courting paparazzi and onlookers at the grocery store. #romancelandia Buy links: books2read.com/u/3LBQjw
Making up for missing last week with *two* #FridayFling excerpts for "whisper." First up is the racier one, from NOBODY'S BARGAIN—in which a has-been rock star and a writer looking for solace have a drunken/stoned midweek stand. #romancelandia It's on sale for 99 cents: books2read.com/u/bxD0no
Every once in a while, I glance at Goodreads and run away before diving in too deeply. I just dipped in the cesspool and caught a one-star review of Big Bad Wolf from 2021. The person haaaated it, which IDGAF about, but this part made me laugh and then stare off into the middle distance.
TFW Kit Rocha supplies you with emotional support bisexual bootleggers turned revolutionaries.
It's so satisfying when I can look at a #FridayFling prompt and know exactly which story will fulfill it. This week, it's my MMF romantasy, FROSTBURN, and "devote." Are you really a bodyguard in a romance if you aren't a little enthralled? 😂 #romancelandia Buy links: books2read.com/u/47aYWq
Here's a little #FridayFling fulfilling the prompt for "score." It's from SPOILED BRIT, my naughty novella about an A-list actor and a struggling TV actress trapped in a cliché of their own making. #romancelandia Buy links: books2read.com/u/3LBQjw
Took a while to find an excerpt for "fascinate." This #FridayFling is from STARF**KER, my very unrealistic and very erotic novella about a screenwriter and a journeyman actor exploring their kinks. In between all the boning, they do discuss movies! #romancelandia Buy links: books2read.com/u/mdaeXW
I could’ve sworn that I tweeted something similar about whore and assassin pasta years ago. I found this gem instead:
For a drama queen who writes a lot of them, I don't use "dramatic" nearly enough. Tried my best to dig up a serviceable #FridayFling for this week from Spoiled Brit. TFW you wake up and have to ask "How long does it take to get a quickie divorce?” #romancelandia Buy links: books2read.com/u/3LBQjw
A little #FridayFling for the prompt "noble." If that word doesn't appear at least once in a romantasy novella about a queen and her two besotted bodyguards, I'm doing my job incorrectly. Fortunately, Frostburn aces the performance evaluation! #romancelandia Buy links: books2read.com/u/47aYWq
I almost panicked that I didn't have the word "panic" in any of my work for this week's #FridayFling. Luckily, Ruby and Baz from SPOILED BRIT came through for me! (And for each other.) #romancelandia Buy links: books2read.com/u/3LBQjw
A few weeks ago, when I was reading Beverly Jenkins's 2002 historical romance A Chance at Love, I stumbled upon this bit of dialogue that cracked me up because it's still applicable—keeping in mind that, in the 1880s, the Dems and Republicans were the opposite of what they are now.
I’m so sugared up after a slice of dense and rich bourbon maple fudge pie. Plus a pint of black pilsner. 🤣 The toddler crash is imminent.
