Baking — Had the urge to make wheat bran muffins and raisin packed wheat bran muffins were made. I put butter on mine.

The tinfoil makes the eating experience better and tastier somehow, and I’m not sure why.

Tried my hand at making a tomato bisque for supper. I saw one YouTube short yappin about a grilled cheese bisque combo. …It did its part in influencing me. Leg thump/10 🔥🔥🔥

Cooking — Tomato bisque with a grilled cheese on the side. The grilled cheese had a couple different cheeses on a brioche style bread, but the star of the show was definitely the soup. It was so creamy and good. It’s got carrots, onions, celery, and the correct amount of garlic sautéd in butter, spices, quite a bit of heavy cream, more garlic, chicken broth along with the tomatoes topped with another swirl of cream. Umami overload!

My quirky sunflowers 🌻

Gardening — My Moulin Rouge sunflowers in their prime. This one grew to be ~10 feet tall.

Gardening — A wider view of my little row of sunflowers. This one in particular is showing off.

Gardening — Teddy Bear sunflower! These ones didn’t grow too abundantly, but from what little I had, each one was gorgeous with multiple blooms on each stock. I love how fluffy and cute they are.

There’s something about this jam cookie. Like how do I top this. Taste, texture and presentation were all a 10 👁️👄👁️👌

Baking — A batch of experimental cream cheese swirl jam cookies I made with dollops of homemade wild berry jam and a brown sugar cream cheese mixture very lightly incorporated to preserve the texture and give it a nice appearance. It was kind of ambitious but the outcome was a huge hit with everyone I shared them with. Very tasty!

Baking — Before they went in the oven, I did my best to get a good smear of cream cheese and jam in every scoop both on top and in the middle.

Baking — I miss them already. Wistful sigh.

Sketchpage — A page of sketches and drawings of my new sona I haven't formally introduced. He's based off of a Panda Shepherd! Here's a bit of trivia: A Panda Shepherd is a purebred German Shepherd with a rare genetic mutation causing a piebald coat, which is approximately 35% white and the rest black and tan.

I felt such a strong connection with the concept because pandas and dogs are such a big part of me — pandas especially, because you know. That's where it started. 🐼 I hope ya'll like himb 🧡

Okay so! Flop or not, I’ll share what the results are. I think this cake is having an identity crisis, besides the crumb being kinda eggy I liked it! The lemon cream cheese frosting completely erased any semblance of hibiscus and there was quite a bit too, but the flavours were competing.
