There have been a lot of times where I feel like we need to have honest discussions on the left about what has worked and what hasn't, share observations without judgement, but it feels like there isn't much space for it. I think it's holding us back.

I wonder how and where we can accomplish that.

Really? I think the only way to do it is through radical openness. Part of the problem is that the left is highly fragmented and lacks a norms of good faith and pluralism. I don't think you can build those through clandestine organizing.

While this big line of storms goes through central Virginia, the National Weather Service radar in Wakefield that serves southeastern Virginia has been broken and offline for several days. They say it might be fixed on Friday.

Lily got under the fence in her bedroom area overnight somehow. I didn’t hear it at all. This morning was supposed to be Suzy’s Librela shot appointment. I think the vet’s office closed her part of the account so I didn’t have to get reminder notifications anymore. I appreciate that.

Fred Merrill was Sasaki's lead designer on Fort Monroe's first master plan, which laid out the site's long-term future and was approved by then-Gov. Bob McDonnell in 2013. He said when the land was transferred to the authority, the Army handed over the keys and left without providing any details on where utility lines and other infrastructure were buried. That left the authority scrambling to untangle the mess, and quickly learning the Army did not play by the same zoning rules as cities.

“Firm, intimate contact” lol. This is for a concrete joint sealant. I used to work with a proposal manager who was always looking out to delete the word “intimate” from our writeups because we don’t have those types of relationships with our clients.

Clean Up
Tooling is recommended immediately after application to ensure firm, intimate contact with the joint interface. Dry tooling is preferred, although tooling agents can be utilized. Excess sealant and smears adjacent to the joint can be removed with IPA, MEK, Xylol or Toluol before sealant cures.
