Well that'd be a way to really piss off Georgians. A Fox news poll from the end of June put Ossoff up 13 points. Even the bad for Ossoff polls put him up above the margin of error.

Total side note, but I had to remind myself exactly what Assad margins are (99.99% high end, 92.20% when he pretended to have a contest post-Arab Spring) and then checked how wikipedia editors are handling the current regime. And this seems optimistic. Anti-electoralism racks up a win!

Waffle House says it appreciates Clark Atlanta’s clarification. However, the study’s researchers disapprove of the university’s joint statement, claiming it undermines the survey’s findings and credibility.

A spokesperson for the Clark Atlanta researchers who conducted the study shared a statement to WABE, “By presenting the University’s clarification alongside Waffle House’s approval and praise, the release creates the appearance that an external corporate subject may have influenced how academic work would be publicly characterized.”

CBS is definitely doing some race baiting with this one. The delivery driver is a black worker harming a traditional symbol of white property (a way oversized and recently cut lawn) and posting this out despite Amazon already agreeing to damages. You can guess was the twitter replies are like.

I appreciate these journalists have to try to be fair to the lab leak conspiracy theorists, but damn is this weak for the anti-Fauci case. Oh during a briefing Fauci gave a little of his own opinion? When did "briefing" mean no words coming from the person briefed? Gabbard has nothing here.

Nothing in the newly released documents shows that Fauci did talk about Covid-19 and bioweapons in the CIA meeting or with an intelligence agency at another time. So even if Fauci’s comments in the CIA meeting qualify as talking with the agency about viral research, these documents leave it far from indisputable that he lied to Congress.

In fairness to Fauci critics, the documents do suggest Fauci wasn’t telling the full story of the CIA meeting with his next comment in the exchange; he said that “after the investigations began about Covid, I was briefed by intelligence agencies about possibilities of there being activities going on in different laboratories; I was briefed by intelligence agencies.” The documents do describe the CIA meeting as a “briefing” for Fauci, but also show Fauci expressed various opinions to the CIA in addition to receiving information.

Trump does seem like he's flailing now. I'm generally skeptical the US government doesn't approve Israeli strikes, but Yemen is closing Bab al Mandab and Trump really doesn't want high gas prices. But if the US doesn't start treating Israel like the rogue state it is they'll keep the wars going.

Southside Beltline trail review! Its really nice! The connections to surrounding communities look good though many are still closed sadly, I really think the landscaping is going to make the best eastside canopies in a few years, and its one of the flatter trail sections (in very hilly areas).

Getting annoyed at bike lane choices in downtown today. Edgewood is currently a painted bike gutter though the flex posts are being stored on the sidewalk so hopefully they're going back in? More annoying is a fine lane is now on Courtland...on the wrong side to connect with the Juniper lane...
