Does anyone here know the BBC World Service Radio programme OS? 2 hours of really varied news stories, talking live to people around the world & sometimes roving around the newsroom. Informative, wonderful chaos. Anyway, I was Studio Manager on that show today after my first full week in radio. 📻 ✊️

My new tune comes out this Friday. It's called "Every Time I..." and was written in the immediate aftermath of Mimi Parker's after reading some @lowtheband.bsky.social Alan Sparhawk tributes which got me in the gut. I brought that idea to my band and we sprinkled it with 60s magic. Hope you enjoy!

Just had 8 days off work, with my wife and son, in Ireland. Saw both sets of parents, both brothers, both sisters-in-law, all seven nieces and nephews, a niece's new baby, several pints with seven of my childhood pals(and it didn't rain!) Just a post of appreciation & gratitude before work tomorrow
Val simply would not go down tonight. Only that he has no clue what's going on(or does he?) him standing up on my bed in my childhood bedroom & parting the curtains to look up at the sky was about the cutest thing I can imagine on Christmas Eve (if it wasn't 3 hrs into bedtime). Happy Christmas all🎄

In the last 36 hours I went to a leaving party in Vauxhall (attended by Mick Hucknall ?), saw MJ Lenderman play in Camden, slept in Crystal Palace, presented the Irish in Britain volunteer awards in Hammersmith, and took a nightbus from Victoria to Stansted In Knock to begin recording album 3 today

I've been in Sri Lanka one month today. I cried this morning looking out at the Indian Ocean, thinking how fucking lucky I am not to be in Gaza or the West Bank & how much we have failed them. I was embarrassed at the time but I think that's the appropriate response to born luck.
