Probably worth chucking this image here, re: Bray bridge, despite these signs asking cyclists to dismount on a bridge that only has a pavement on one side, is an unlit road and would require cyclists to stop, cross the road and walk along a narrow footway.
Back from The Hog’s Back transmitter site. Kane FM is a little over 3dB stronger now!
Lots of radio happening, like listening to 6 stations at once on almost any frequency.
I'm very pleased to say that after years of trying I've finally made Kicad's simulator simulate something successfully.
A distraction but I've just found an interesting "how it might've been" at the other end of Wingletye, the end that isn't even there now, joining up to Squirrels Heath Rd. Dashed roads that presumably had the Southend Arterial happen to them and definitely didn't end up like that. Published in 1921
I was just listening to the mystery drifty hum, on 98.938MHz, when it suddenly vanished. I suppose the appliance was switched off. What gets switched off at 11:20am?
This morning's silent community FM station is, once again, Flex FM on 101.4MHz, pictured here in a moment of silence on nearby Classic FM (but not on Asian Star 101.6)
Wycombe Sound, 106.6MHz is today's silent community FM station, although to be fair it's fixed now.
Today's silent community FM station is Reprezent, currently reprezenting nothing.
This station on 88.3MHz, presumably in Algeria or somewhere "near" there, has no concept of a deviation limiter. It's so wide that I'm surprised anyone can hear it. My SDR software won't go wide enough to demodulate it into anything but distorted mush.
I have made a simple notch filter so I can look for inter modulation products at Guildford next month without overloading any front ends
Yeah, I agree the point about it being funny does outweigh most of the negatives of the AI's attempted improvements. Newer smartphones are doing this class of tweaking before they even save the image, which seems bad, to me. Over to strangely light coloured non-existent person for a vox pop…
Here's the R1 logo, I've been unable to find any t-shirts with the blue logo and a red bar above it. Older t-shirts either had no text above or may have been red with 247 in red above, but I've only found repros so far. I apologise for being a radio nerd who dislikes AI images.
