qiuzhi / zheyuan wuxia comic (6/6)

qiuyuan gazes into zhezhis soul, claiming "a bystander. i sense no malice. her heart, light and pure. no wonder she snuck behind me." he quickly apologizes and says "sorry. the battle must've scared you. ill clean all of this up." picking up the papers scattered all over the floor. (if you look closely, one of the papers has his wanted poster on it, eluding to zhezhi being the one commissioned by the mingting security for drawing his wanted posters.) zhezhi exclaims, "no, no! you saved me!" as she hurrily takes out her scroll and brush, "let me draw you something as thanks!" an aura of light emitting her from the scroll, as qiuyuan retorts, "but i cant see..."

Zhezhi prays in front of her scroll before casting her resonance ability, her hair lifting up from its power. "dont worry, for something like this..." she lifts the brush effortlessly, as thousands of cranes fly out from the scroll, eagar to take to the sky. "you'll sense it from the heart!" she exclaims, as qiuyuan raises his head from the wind and sound, thousands of cranes fly overhead, the radiance of the sun shines down, enveloping their form in shadows, the cranes fly in a spiral staircase form, as if to reach the heavens.

in the quiet of his mind, qiuyuan only stares forward. unable to see, but focused on zhezhi... "this inky landscape... that ive only ever called my own." he recounts. with the cranes flying behind him. Zhezhi stares forward, letting her hair whip across wildly from the birds, qiuyuan continues. "she so effortlessly.. infiltrated." she turns to him, a smile spread on her face. "and-"
zhezhi speaks, "can you hear it? the sound of my gratitude!"
Qiuyuan finishes, "became a part of it." as cranes continue their journey towards north, the beautiful sun and sky littering a backlight onto the two of them. who now stand facing one another. zhezhi has become a part of his world, his mindscape that only sees in an inky wash has been disrupted by zhezhis resonance. their frequency, now able to connect one another.

qiuzhi / zheyuan wuxia comic (3/6)

qiuyuan counts the enemies one by one who're hiding between the bamboo forest. they seem to be waiting for their chance to strike... he says, " So weak. I don't even need to see you." as he unsheaths his blade with his thumb. in a flash, the enemies all fall, their heads lopped off in one fell swoop. the bamboo forest is entirely cut into two, with the victorious qiuyuan, sliding across the path, a trail of death behind him..

he walks by, continuing his path leaving the dead bodies of the bandits, as the now cleanly cut bamboo shoots fall one by one. Qiuyuan thinks, "Mingting has chased me all the way over here... I have to move." before a crunch sounds behind him, with a flinch he locks in and reaches for his sheathed sword once more, his mind saying, "a ninth?!" as though to say there was someone he could have missed.

his sword, straight as a line aims for the unknown enemies face neck, stopping just in front of their jugular. in the middle of the sword, is a piece of paper he had cleanly stabbed mid air. the pages thrown up in the air from the force of wind from his sword slowly cascade down, decorating the space between qiuyuan and the unknown enemy as he threatens them, saying, "You. Don't move." to the enemy who had already fallen down, shaken from the attack.

shuuen: your moves are well thought out. have you played before?
