The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle (1968). After getting the movie and book for my bday a few years ago, I've FINALLY read the book. And I get it now. It's hard to convey how magical the writing it. Beagle's voice just has really unique character to it. The themes of immortality go hard.

No Charm Done by Tori Anne Martin (2025). My friend bought this with me in mind, and I did like it a lot. It got really cute once the rivals started lovering. If you like rivals-to-lovers wlw, witchiness and fall vibes, this is a decent rec.

Hadestown: The Musical (2026 proshot). I lost track of how many times I cried. It was at least 6. 7 or 8 around when Orpheus was fixing the Underworld. Fuck tho. The emotions, the sets, the everything. I'm gonna sing it again and again and again.

Critical Role: Darktow (2026). I watched this with yearning because I had really wanted to go when they announced the tickets, but alas. Great show as always. Jester and the Plank King were the best parts. And this may also be a new record for Matt rolling badly in one game.

Dimension 20: City Council of Darkness (2026). I forgot to post about this one WHOOPS. Every Dimension 20 series is the funniest ever but this one had me laughing to tears so often, the cast was so unhinged it was great.

Critical Role: [PROJEKT] Funball (2026). Truly up and down buckwild. Rules and spells were implemented for things surely no one would have pictured before LMFAO. RedChild, the VA for Eadwulf MC'd the show, which was awesome. Too bad Eadwulf and Astrid couldn't get involved, haha.

Frequency (2000). My brother liked this enough to buy it, and we watched it together. I love stuff with alternating timelines and murder mysteries, so it was super fun to see how things changed over the course of the movie. Why couldn't they let the wife in on it tho 😩

Komi Can't Communicate (2016-2025). I read these as my friend bought them, restarting the beginning again last year and finishing today. While there's some Weeb Ass Shit™️, it's such a funny and wholesome series. There's so many lovable characters, and a surprising amount of gayness in there too haha

You've Found Oliver by Dustin Thao (2025). I read "You've Reached Sam" on a previous cottage trip, and thought it'd be fun to do the same this year with its sequel. I enjoyed it about as much as I enjoyed the first one. Thank FUCK he made amends with his mom. I only wish Ben had more personality.

But I'm a Cheerleader (1999). From Henry's Pride-themed movie nights. Fun watch; set design and cinematography was great too. I related to the MC on a personal level, but why did she have to out Dante Basco like that?? At least it turned out for the better, but damn. Would rewatch tho

Singin' in the Rain (1952, 2026 production). My aunt and I saw a local production of this, and it was great fun. The ENTIRE stage and the movements of the crew were integrated into the story, which added a great theatrical layer. The actresses that played Cosmo and Lina were the best parts.

A Vow of Vengeance (2026). A great read; my new favourite book in the series, I think, and my new favourite couple between the three. I loved Alwyn and Krujha a lot more than I expected to going in, esp Alwyn. I was totally hooked on the assassination plot and the mystery of the cottage memories.

Critical Role: Bell's Hells & the Maelstrom Kingdom (2026). A great show; love that we got something centered around Dorian. All of the LOTR jokes were too good, and Matt was too funny for throwing the Chancellor in there. LOVED THE NETHERDEEP REF TOO!!

Milk (2008). From Henry's Pride-themed movie nights. A great movie to start the month with. I hadn't heard of Harvey Milk before watching this movie, but I'm glad to know of him now. The message about hope in the end really got me.

When Among Crows by Veronica Roth (2024). It's so good for something so short, feeling complete without feeling rushed or shallow. Loved the setting and all three MC's. Dymitr's feelings--including his Catholic Guilt™️--really resonated with me.

They Came Together (2014). A streamer my roomies and I watch was allowed to stream the entirety of this movie, so we watched it, and holy fuck. One of the most hilariously absurd movies I've ever seen. A couple of the jokes were too much for me personally, but I was cackling the whole time.

Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint, vol. 3 (2018, 2026 edition). The last 50 or so pages. Holy fucking shit. The ending almost had me tearing up. Also Han Sooyoung shows up HERE????

An American Tail: The Mystery of the Night Monster (1999). My friend lent me the movies; I had no idea this one existed until she did. I'd already seen the first three, and maybe it's the lack of nostalgia bias, but this one was the weakest for me. The writing lost me a few times. Liked Nellie tho

Split Fiction (2025). I played and beat this game with my bestie, whom I also co-write with. This is one of the most fun games I've ever played, since the first level. How does it keep getting better??? Each world is so unique and cool too. And the penultimate level had me crying my eyes out. 10/10!

Witch Hat Atelier anime. If I watch the first six eps over again will episode 7 appear. cuz

Watched Flow again for Henry's Movie Night. Love the shot of the light on the mountains making out the shape of the whale. Missed that the first time.

Hitch: A Musical Parody (2026). It's been at least a decade since I've even seen the original movie but it adapts really well for 2026. It feels kind of crazy that my favourite song is probably the one that the corporate assholes sing LOL. Hitch himself weirdly felt like a minor character tho.

A Vow to Heal (2025). I read the OG Orc Prince Trilogy a couple years ago, and didn't realize this came out until a friend told me and bought it for me!! The dynamic and pacing is opposite to the trilogy, which made reading fresh and enjoyable. There are bumps but the pay-off is worth it every time.

Ethel & Ernest (2016). From Henry's Animation April movie nights. The artstyle was adapted perfectly into a blend of 2D and 3D animation. The ending had most if not all of chat crying, including myself OTL

Miraculous Ladybug Manga (2021-present). Bought the first three volumes. The art style suits the show. They adapt a few eps from Season 1, with some interesting story changes. It was fun to see Luka introduced earlier on too. I also liked reading how things are translated between JP, ENG and FR.

Final Fantasy XIV: Eorzea Academy (2023). I only know bits and pieces about FFXIV through friends, but this was a fun read nonetheless. So many hilarious moments, and I love everything Ryne and Gaia had going on uwu The Beach Episode™️was my favourite chapter 😂

The Dragon King's Imperial Wrath: Falling in Love with the Bookish Princess of the Rat Clan (2021-2022). One of my roommates picked this up and shared it. Only three volumes long, but very good. The art is so damn beautiful (as is every character). The world and cast has the potential to expand!
