Listening to Virginia is heartbreaking and enraging in equal measure. Conspiracy theories around her tragic death (after she had seemingly already survived the worst) are disguising the fact that Australia’s lack of nuanced understanding of coercive control and domestic violence led to her death. 😔
Still trying to push myself to sit with the discomfort of creating bad art and doing it anyway. If you feel like cycling through every human emotion in the space of an evening, “Come See Me in the Good Light” is the doco for you! It was actually quite lovely and brilliant - heavy, but not dark. 💜

Operation Eat Like a Grown Up: This mushroom and rocket risotto is so grown up it has a living will and just cleaned out the gutters.
I made baba ganoush with my veggie box eggplants. It’s a marked departure from what I normally do with eggplants (ie. leave them in the fridge until they liquify and then toss them in the compost). Feedback so far includes, “It made me feel sick, because of the taste.” Trying new things is fun! 😁
This is how I feel just existing in 2025. And given the deeply troubled relationship I’ve had with existing over the years, that’s pretty sucky.

Exciting news! I just worked out a way the #NDIS can save millions of dollars each financial year! If I’m reading their “Transparency Portal” correctly, during this same 12 month period, of the 110 cases that made it to the tribunal, half of NDIS decisions reviewed were varied or set aside. 1/4
I’ve been having a good natured running argument with my daughter about whether it’s hygienic to buy used drink bottles. After seeing this in the drink bottle section at Savers today, I conceded defeat. 😬😆
