last year, I was feeling so weighted by the game, but got the opportunity to talk about it at Parallels and I was just so overjoyed by the amount of support from everyone at the event it truly is a special place, the kind of love & warmth that's impossible to forget

2. For the love of god, do not use ChatGPT to write your email. It does not make you look smart. It does not make you stand out. It makes you sound like the human equivalent of an unsalted british cracker: flavorless, dry and devoid of any personality whatsoever. It's also
very obvious if applicants are using genAI to fill their emails, because all chatGPT- produced applications look the exact same. I actually ended-up reading the same email 3 times in a row as I was scanning applications - the same email, almost word for word - I'm not joking. Let me insist a little bit to really hammer how detrimental your use of chatGPT is to your application. If I don't realize that you're using chatGPT, I will think that you're boring as hell (and nobody wants to hire someone they find boring). If I do realize that you're using it, I will think that you have no ability to think or do things for yourself, since
you couldn't even be bothered to write your own email, and you'll be disqualified automatically, regardless of your portfolio. You may think that you can find a way to work around this by asking chatGPT to write in a different style, but then you'll just sound like one of these creepy AI-run Linkedin or Facebook pages, which is even worse than being
boring. It's always a losing scenario.
