At the Palaces of Knossos by Nikos Kazantzakis. There should be an English translation available at a chain bookstore, it's got light romance and is historical/myth fiction by one of the best Greek authors of all time.

"What Radicalized You?" Reading/watching these (yes, while I was in elementary school/early junior high): There's a lot more but these hit me hard. Highly recommend to read books, rather than just watch the movies. But at least watch the movies.

From my webcomic Without Moonlight, Fotis is crying and Martha is tearful as they're standing in the midst of a cemetery. Dialogue reads:
Martha: "Don't become the monster- just end it quickly."
Fotis: "That sounds- that sounds like something Basil would say..."
Martha: "He did say it. He even had a quote for it: Injuria non excusat injuriam."

Arthur (from Without Moonlight). He's an ex-nazi having to deal with the (in some important ways irreparable) damage he has caused to people he now actually sees for the people they are. He's not offing himself because a priest told him that's not atonement, that he has to do other things for that.

I'm a vegetarian that can feed omnivores without having them crave meat. I don't understand why anyone would voluntarily bother with what goes down someone else's gullet any other time bth. Btw- our 'meat' (made from scratch) and potatoes are irresistible to everyone.

Vegan roasted soy based 'fillet' and potatoes.

Changed my banner from my flower witch to Etan sinking in a deep lake while dying, because that's a bit more fitting in the state of the world these days XD

The banner image I used for my blue sky account. The image shows a redhead knight with very long hair that just fell in a very deep lake with greenish dark waters. The view is from underwater, as he's just begun to sink. There's a view of a gigantic trunk of a tree that's growing from inside the lake on the left, and a hint of a root system of another one further in on the right.
