I don't think I have ever in my life seen a politician rack up a more infinite streak of easy, obvious total PR slam dunk victories than Mamdani is New York right now. Like, not even Genius Level 4D chess shit, just the simplest, easiest, most common sense wins imaginable.
i have finished drafting the intro and the first section of my next video, which is going to have about ten sections ... oh dear.
Basically, you should always be willing to be the mermaid. (image credit: floccinaucinihilipilificationa.tumblr.com/post/9604047...)
Noticed that this link just points to the itch.io main and doesn't point to the hardship fund itself, which it feels like it was supposed to?
Transparency worked extremely hard on this for a very long time, so everyone is going to set aside some time to go and watch what they made
hhhh okay revisions done, script POSSIBLY complete? maybe? it fucking better be because i'm gonna record this fucker tomorrow
Feeling good about having edited those 7¼ hours of footage down to only 1½ hours of actual video. Now to write a nice short analysis segment to cap it off—FUCK!!
The comic is generally pretty eclectic (or entirely random) in its fashion, likes to mix modern(-ish) patterns and styles with whatever elaborate fantasy nonsense fits the setting of the current adventure.
need you to cite a fucking source for that one buddy because what the fuck are you talking about
which, y'know, maybe the first clue is in the thumbnail, which seems to be ugly-ass AI art where in London is in flames, and an angry mob of jobless starving people are counterposed with casino machines and scantily clad women and crypto as the scourges of our modern age
this essay going around is REALLY fucking weird about sex work and sex workers. and kind of weird about sexual morality in general. it frames doing sex work as a kind of nihilistic disengagement from the normal, "respectable" economy, compares it directly with gambling and extreme social reclusal.
both of those articles are about how discs are fragile and unsafe, poor for digital preservation, and they argue for either 1) a return of cartridges (polygon) or 2) true ownership of data without DRM & platform locks (gizmodo) but you'd have to read more than the headline to find that out i guess
feeling a weird sense of delight reading about schismatic conflict in the catholic church today
It would go some way towards explaining why the character art looks generally so wonky here. Like what the fuck is that foreshortening supposed to be on KH3 Sora, how is Donald holding (not holding) his staff, why do 2 of the Soras have 90% the exact same pose and expression, etc.
the whole Yoko Tsuno series is like this, really, this peculiar mixture of mid-70s contemporary fashion, a deep fascination with historical landscapes, murder mysteries, and then occasionally divebombing into sci-fi futuristic weirdness
over twenty years since the first time i read it in the school library, and the way roger leloup draws Koshi the android's kendo outfit in Yoko Tsuno still sticks with me
