I laughed when I saw the drawing Killer in the Code says is a “smoking gun.” I was expecting something garish and disturbing. Instead, it was…this, which doesn’t look at all like the Black Dahlia and I don’t think those marks are wounds.

It’s worth noting that this is not the proposed New College of FL statue. That one had Charlie Kirk sitting at a table with a hand outstretched, palm up. That one, people plan to put shit in the palm. This one is sitting on a bench, and people want to piss on it. Totally different.

Sergio Furnari, originally from Italy, had hoped the statue of the deceased far-right activist, which he intends to display in Times Square, would raise "millions" of dollars.

Instead, he said he has been inundated by messages from people saying they intend to urinate on the sculpture.

In desperation, Furnari set up an online fundraising campaign, hoping to raise an initial $150,000, but potentially millions of dollars, which he said would allow him to take the statue on tour. As of Thursday, he had raised $1,400.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003). Absolutely brutal in its dumbness and ineptitude. And I had recently watched and loved the original, so that was an additional blow. Any time I see a horror movie touting any connection to this film (from the people who brought you…), it’s a hard no from me.

The Bulls are uncomfortably close to the relegation/draft-penalty tier according to these projections. If Billy Donovan was still the coach, I’d say that they would win +4 over the projection, but this feels pretty accurate right now.

2026-27 NBA projected final standings, per winprojectionmodel.com. The Chicago Bulls have 26 wins, tied with the Bucks & Mavs, ahead of the Nets, Wizards, and Kings.

The implication here, of course, is that the Reinsdorfs did not feel confident in the AKME front office, which makes the secret extension given to the pair even funnier in retrospect. The Reinsdorfs expect loyalty and butts in seats; competence on the court is far down the list.

It's the kind of clean slate that could signal a pivot in direction, one inviting a possible rebuild - this time, with a front office the Reinsdorfs might feel more confident in.
