In my sections: 'universal empathy' in the introduction, the reader being threatened by the air elemental narrator in the air intro, & the floating tent in the air items (a nod to this kinda goofy but iconic planar tent found in D&D3e Planar Adventures that will live in my head rent free forever)

"Sleights Unseen

Mortal minds are filled with cute understandings of air. I suppose you wish for me to separate the truth from falsehood, but asking this of a creature of air would misunderstand our nature. When you see a vessel and think it empty, air is always within.

We flow so cleverly around all things that some elemental traditions consider us only a space between. In Tian Xia, mortal elementalists believe in a cycle of five elements eternally feeding each other: fire, wood, metal, water, earth. Unlike those five, air has no solid form; this is the true distinction understood in our exclusion from the cycle. Other elemental philosophers do call us an element in "equal" standing. This discrepancy is ideal, I say. Thrive in the inconsistency and keep the mortals guessing- as unable to grasp us conceptually as they are physically. Air is everywhere, always; it is the space between all spaces, the energy moved through the cycle, and the barrier laying between the Universe and the Great Beyond.

Air is flexible, mutable, and invisible- an ideal element for spells and magical tools. Pomp and show have no purpose in my work, and elemental air is perfectly suited for slipping by while drawing minimal attention. Do you breathe, mortal? Air can give life with but a breath, or strip that life away with the same ease."

New makeup I bought in 2025: I got the givenshy powder and concealer and the two mascaras in the Sephora spring sale, and skipped the winter sale. The NARS mascara was my preferred standard when I picked up this replacement, but now that I have a blue mascara I wear it exclusively. (1/5)

After getting the Lethal palette I quickly determined it was too much to travel with and transferred the purple blush, green highlight, and six eyeshadows into a smaller magnetic palette. Since replacing the purple blush this year, I've moved to these two smaller magnetic palettes

I've had my custom Lethal palette for three years. This year, I finally had to replace my first pan: the purple blush. I reassembled the whole palette into the same configuration as the photo in the quoted tweet from when it was new so you can see the difference three years made.

The pans have varying levels of dips in the pigment, showing which colours have been used the most. A purple blush is almost entirely used up, a green highlight has a significant dent with the metal pan visible below, and two eyeshadows, a green and a purple, only show powder around the edges. Five total eyeshadows have varying levels of pan visible.

Hotel Mira, the band that opened for Our Lady Peace and Collective Soul earlier this year, came back through Winnipeg so I got to see them twice in one year! They put on a really fantastic show, check them out if their tour comes near you. Tickets for the show here were only something like $30
