Wohl wann es in die Niederlanden gebaut wird, weil die es oft so niedrig auf den Boden platzieren das fast nichts mehr darunter passt 🙄 Kombinationsnutzung können die dann vergessen (obwohl scheinbar die Regeln geändert sind, sind Solarpanele auf Land gesetzlich die letzte Wahl).

Is ook veel beter voor insecten- en dierenleven en kost ook minder water. Mijn nog veel wildere tuin…

Blik op enigszins verwilderde tuin met tuinpaadje.

Zicht op tuin met kat. Helaas vorige week gemaaid, en dus dor. Ik dacht dat het onder de bomen wel zou kunnen…

Kastanjeboom die de meeste schaduw verspreid maar ook het meeste extra werk vereist. Zie ook de afgevallen bestuifstaafjes/bloesem. Dit ligt nu echt overal. En later komen dan weer de enorm stekelige kastanjes… toch ga ik deze boom altijd laten staan 🌳

Up until fairly recently, heat was not a major problem in most of Europe. We built to let the sunlight in and then trap the warmth. In the course of my lifetime so far, in France it changed like this: I was born in 1962. (When I was a child, we nearly always went to France for our holidays).

There is a clear change between 1960 to approx 1988 (mostly blues) and then suddenly it’s heating up from 88/90

This can’t be good. Please don’t use it!

HOW TO USE
Concentrates require a sprayer. Shake well before mixing with water. Apply liberally to plants and their perimeter during a dry period. Reapply one week later, then once per month thereafter.
Do not apply if bees or other pollinators are in the treatment area.
Store in a cool dry area between 40-90 degrees.

Hé? Is wespenvriend niet meer hier? Enfin, hier foto’s van de hoornaars van vorig jaar:

Maar liefst TWEE Europese hoornaars op een schotel met stukken appel.

Aziatische hoornaar op een stuk appel in het gras. Je ziet hier goed het kleurverschil met de Europese hoornaar. Ook dit insect zoemt heel zwaar maar is totaal niet agressief naar mij.

Twee Europese hoornaars opeen stuk appel. Hier zie je goed het kenmerkende gezicht van dit insect.
Ze zijn prachtig, echt groot, zoemen heel zwaar en doen mensen niks, zolang je ze niet lastig valt.

We hebben ook een hommelnest dit jaar (cc @handle.invalid). Ja, de tuin is geweldig. Opvallend: natuur herstelt zich heel snel. Als nou iedereen zo’n tuin had, wemelde het van de insecten en vogels. Spotte ook een Aziatische hoornaar. Vorig jaar hadden we beide.
