oh it was pretty bad, especially if your CSS was a bit rusty. this screenshot from impeccable.style kind of shows what it used to be like, but even this is miles better than the things i've seen (i suppose it's hard to make something that sucks on purpose, but i'm not sure).
Codex built me an internal web app to rate @melodic.stream's session summaries and can I just say, holy crap. I remember the purple gradient era (which was... only a couple of months ago?) and now we're freakin' here. It looks ON BRAND. (Codex made this without any installed UI skills or anything.)

i think a design like this (with anisota polish) could work well! basically explaining the level you are on and how to get to the next level! in the openai implementation you can’t look at previous levels because it’s not that interesting, but i think that would be awesome for anisota!
