She/her. Oncology clinical trials nurse. Raging feminist. No kids, just cats ❤️. Join your union and keep masks in healthcare. Living in Melbourne on Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung land
Finally made it to the hairdresser. This is the hairdresser that requires a Kn94 mask and a negative COVID test. She also wears a mask and has an air purifier. And because I'm extra, I brought along an air purifier also as it was still in my trolley from last week's excursion
The abandonment of public health continues. Gatekeeping COVID vaccinations even further by introducing a cost to patients who don't meet eligibility criteria (Australia).
This is Genocide-Penny's MOST CONCERNED face! Pity she doesn't care as much for Palestinians.
I learnt today that everyone in my team calls this "a grey lead" Is this some weird Melbourne thing? Or weird Aussie thing?
Headed to a 4 hr sewing workshop knowing full well I've done no laundry, house chores, grocery shopping or meal prepping for the week ahead 🙃 Air purifier fits nicely in my JoyRolla trolley ❤️
Well Dottie has taken ownership over the heated throw rug 😆, I guess I'll just perch next to her on the cold part of the sofa
And there's a live stream ticketing option also!!! www.slv.vic.gov.au/whats-on/amy...
Sorry but what the actual? If it can be recognised that algorithm-based tools are a terrible idea for ages care funding (and they are), then WHY THE ACTUAL FORK are we rolling them out for the National Disability Insurance Scheme? especially after everything we learnt from Robodebt. I despair.
I am sooooo early for my flight. Check in desk isn't yet open. Forgot how dinky and small this airport is
Justified lugging my running gear in my backpack by finally going for a run on my last morning in Wellington. It was freezing! Frost along parts of the waterfront. And I ran the last 500m holding an almond croissant ❤️.
Last night in Wellington, having dinner outside and wearing nearly all my clothes since it is SO COLD.
Every single art piece at Te Papa has both Maori and English descriptions ❤️
When a nine year old takes photos 😆 So happy I flew over to see Ana and her weaving. The opening was beautiful and I cried during the waiata.
Wellington day 1: found vegan baked goods for breakfast. Book + coffee outside in a moment of sunshine. Ordered + collected flowers for my friend's exhibition opening. Wondered around the library. Met a uni friend for coffee. About to go visit op-shops.
If this helps others - this is what's in my panic attack kit. Very sour lollies. Lorazepam. Various fidgeting things including one with very hard spikes. And my phone is loaded up with my favourite audio track to talk me through riding the wave of panic, if it hits.
Anxious girlies love arriving to the airport before check in is even open 😆 Super cool to see NZ place names on the departure board in both English and Maori
I do love Tridents as they're SO secure but gosh they make my face sweaty! Waiting outside for my GP to call me in. No way am I waiting in that waiting room 🤮
